They need to stop of scoring those missed techniques... Looks like the judges are influenced by the athletes emotions. To score a Ippon the technique should be perfect. I think they can score wasari for those "half hit" techniques and Ippon for the Full hit point, it's way more fare. Please WKF, back with the "shobu sanbon" system.

This is now the kind of Karate in japan? It is not anymore the original way of them doing it in the past no gloves like they do in the All Japan Karate Kumite or All Japan JKA Kumite. They are not fighting karate.

no. this is sports karate kumite for scoring a point and not for street fight. teachers teach the students to separate this sports kumite from street. our teacher teaches us elbows and knee attacks, hits on the throat and ears, etc. we can't do these attacks in kumite cause it's very dangerous, but we perform these attacks on mitts.

side position and jumping-jumping. if they are doing that in All Japan Karate kumite, as I have seen before in KZbin, they will be hit with a hard kick at the lower limbs and then followed by punches to the face.

since it's point based kumite, kicking the leg should be a score. it's very easy to score a point by kicking the leg so attacks below the belt are not allowed and if you kick below the it's a penalty. on legs you can only do sweep or a light touch as distraction.
