STILL HERE IN 2023!!! So happy to be back watching Silvie again waiting for the 2023 Carols By Candlelight. I love this song as well as In the name of the lord and We shall behold him both of which she also performed at Carols. I just realised Silvie has sun Your Grace 3 times. I remember the first so very well, this being the second. I went to Carols Rehearsals on this particular year (2009) and my friend and I sat front row centre waiting specifically for Silvie. We loved this song and when she annouced she would be singing it again my friend and I yelled out "Back by popular demand!!!" Silvie smiled and said "Yes (laughs) back by popular demand!" And I think we can all see why. It's such an amazing song that Silvie performs so beautifully and is sung by a person as beautiful on the outside as she is on the inside. For those who haven't experience Carols Rehearsals (they take place the night before December 23) they're so much fun as there are several run throughs of every song (just to make sure it'll all go right on the night) and the performers can take time to sign autographs and speak with the audience who come up to meet them (one of the many reasons my friend and I always went front rown centre - although to be technical 'front row centre right hand side - as there is that divide in the middle). Silvie/ Silvana is always so kind and giving of her time but also, as rehearsals alow her the time to speak with the crowd casually it's easy to see how down to earth she is as well. Thank you Silvia for showing young girls that high sopranos can sing contemporary music with style and grace without belting. Sandi Patty demonstrated that so well beginning in the 70's. I personally love hearing a woman sing in that upper voice. Marvelous job and thanks for making some wonderful music.
