your hair looks amazing alot of work put into it, the only difference would mainly be the sheer volume of hair Lexa has and the entire lot is teased /or crimped. to give the whole lot thickness. but amazing job.

Very nice hairstyle! I admire your patience given the time it takes to do it! I think I don't have the length nor thickness to do it properly but I'll try it anyway! I just didn"t understand at 2'40 : after you tie the 2 sections from the sides of your head, you say to "split the ponytail in half and to bring these halves around the teased hair" but I don't really see what you're doing... Apparently it is not just tying the teased hair with the ponytail, could you help me? Thanks and once again, I love your channel cause I can find all the hairstyles of the TV shows I watch, done on yourself and I don't need to buy a wig or thousands of extensions to have enough hair to do them !

So you know how you had all that teased hair on top of your head? once you split the little ponytail in half, bring those halves around the hair from on top of your head that was teased, as if you're tying it with a ribbon (the "ribbon strands" in this case are the two halves of the little ponytail). Then tie those halves together again with an elastic.

No. The teased hair is left out of the little ponytail you make with the side hair. Then let the teased hair fall down the back of your head, and wrap the two halves of the ponytail around that teased section, as if you were tying some ribbon around the teased hair but instead of ribbon you're using the ponytail halves.

I use the Hot Tools one. I can't say how it compares to others cuz it was a gift, but it works well for my purposes.

I know it differs based on the thickness of your hair. But what size hair beads did you use? I want to do this but don't know where to even start when it comes to sizes. Thanks!

+Danielle Leon I used beads with an internal diameter of 10mm for this, which was slightly too big but the next largest size I have is 7mm and that wouldn't fit. I'd suggest err on the side of larger, since you can always get creative with holding the beads on but it's unhelpful when they won't even slide all the way up the hair!

+Silverbleedy I try to make ponytails that are just big enough that the bead is really tight over the elastic, so it stays put. Barring that, sometimes I'll hook it behind with a bobbypin and then cross that one with a second to hold it in place.

My hair isn't quite long enough to truly do it right now, but I think I still made it look decent especially for a first attempt. It was something that could have easily been a very very frustrating experience, but your video made it easy for me! And you did warn me, but ohgodddddd the breakage!
