Came across your video today. And I'm glad I found it, there so much misconception around this culture. I'm glad you decided to show the true accurate historical hairstyles! Helps me so much get an accurate portrait in my head; thank you!!

Suddenly I am regretting cutting layers into my hair - my hair is long but these are almost impossible with longer layers.

The transverse braid is DEFINITELY the EASIEST!👍 Always repeating the same moves from the same side couldn't be easier; however, I LOVE the appearance of the round braid. I think that one will take some (or a lot!) of practice for me to master but I have plenty of rope to practice with. 😁 Btw, you have the most beautiful red hair! ♥️😃 When I was a little girl, I never thought my red hair would be something I would miss when I entered my senior years because I was severely teased about it but now that its vibrant color has faded, I do miss it terribly.😩 Anyway, thanks for the 4-strand braid lessons. 🙏😍 You did an excellent job!👍😊

Your explanation makes so much more sense than the others I’ve seen online, I’ve been holding on to rune beads for 4 years not knowing what to do with them

So helpful, thank you! I have one big knot which reappears every day, no matter what I do! I've actually had my hairdresser do an undercut to remove the baby hair at the nape of my neck. Nobody's noticed because my hair is long, but the big knot is higher up unfortunately so I just have to keep detangling!

Just saying thanks for the great video! As a bald black man I doubt I’m the target audience haha, but I was doing research for Ancient Greek hair for an art project I’m working on & this was very helpful with the historical context you added.

Figure 8 is gonna take some practice to get consistent but the nautilus one ive been able to get right a few times. The silk knot bun though i havent been able to get in a way that lasts more than a minute or so before it starts falling. I think its because my hair was cut so it thins at the bottom quite a bit so i dont get enough hair through the hand wrap part to properly pull tight. (Id say i only have about 1/4 of the hair amount at the ends where i need to pull compared to the amount i have in the main part of the bun so its either too weak or not enough of the lower hairs to pull tight properly) Bummed since i was basically doing a basic wrap bun leaving a little tail for a similar effect. Guess ill have to stick with that until my hair grows out more (i have JUST enough hair to do the pull through right now, but wouldnt if i get it trimmed down) and i can trim to a more consistent thickness throughout. Edot: about 20 more tries and i THINK i got it as close at itll go right now. Mine starts at the same height but the middle falls below the top of my ears where hers falls a bit above. I also had to switch from a thinner chopstick like one to a thicker sword one i had lying around since i couldnt find my other basic thick one. So... if youre having trouble with a think hair stick due to hair weight, try a thicker one first i guess.

The wavy bit goes UNDERNEATH 🤯🤯🤯 First time on my life I've heen able to pin a braid flat behind my head, although I did have to use a bigger pin to secure the main bun, but it's still better than I've ever been able to do. Still gotta perfect the technique. Thank you!
