You've seen the creepy video. You read all about it on Vice and Cracked. Now witness the insanity in detail.
Some observations:
*Every single building was marked as historic. EVERY SINGLE ONE.
*There are no traffic in the subway lines or stations.
*There are no schools, hospitals and fire stations whatsoever .
*There are no skyscrapers. In fact, most of the commercial buildings are parking decks.
*When an earthquake hits Magnasanti, the results aren't pretty.

For those wondering how large Magnasanti is, each tile is about 4096 square meters (or 64 meters on each side). The largest possible city you can build has 256 X 256 tiles. In turn, the largest city you can build has an area of around 100 square miles.

When I loaded the city it got abandoned after a few years. I don't know what old version this city uses, but normally, industrial zones can never use subways when attempting trips to R + C. The reverse is possibnle. But the train-to-sub stations in this map caused Ind zones to fail all their outgoing trips, which closed them down, which threw R demand out of whack, which caused massive zone abandonment of all three types. Can't make a roadless city in SC3k Unlimited.

Perfect from a gameplay perspective. This is the ultimate min max. Of course its not perfect from an actual human being perspective. That's really the point of this exercise, its basically showing how all systems used in games like Sim City are pretty broken, we just don't realize it because most of don't have the energy to spend 3 years figuring out how to break them.

a few thoughts: 1. Why subway to rail connections instead of just subway stations? 2. You might be able to cram in more people if you a. increased land value with a few fountains (the luxuryt buildings hold a bit more) or added some hospitals (longer lifespan means more people alive at the same time). You'd be trading housing space for potentially higher density, I don't know the math but I think it could work.

If there are no schools, or hospitals, or firestations, why would the city "survive" ? I mean, this city was said to have "beaten" the game, but I don't see how you can thrive withot education and health care. Actually, come to think of it America's not doing so bad.
