Sim Formula Expo 2024 finally bring something really exciting

This small sim racing expo is actually growing and many of the big names like Simucube, Asetek, Imsim, Cube Control and many other bring exiting equipment but for me was waiting beautiful surprise !

@@_GT3_Manu No name yet, wild plans are to sell this as custom software. What ISI did for many years in some way. People are confused as they expect a game but this needs a big budget and people to seed a lot of content. This is a one-man project basically. I was accidentally in the room when RBM was filming this. There was a part in night conditions as well :)

I know the feeling, I'm 50 yrs old and recently got into simracing and what a blast it is to seat myself in the rig for an hour or so after a days work. Liberating to say the least.

That's soo exciting to hear. We have relatively cheap gear now, but all the sims are "last gen". They can be run on a fast 2 core CPU. (And yes, I know you can run anything if you have an insanely fast 1 core CPU, I'm a software developer myself.:) As the 8 core CPU became the new standard, now we need properly multi-threaded physics engines. I hope Unnamed Engine will make use of the all the CPU power we now have available. That also means no bottlenecks for the GPU, like if you're running triple screens or VR.

Coffee Racer - I remember on their first products they had Logitech G29 attached. Now I can see they do Simucube! Moreover, from your video it looks relatively sturdy. That is crazy! I think that there is a big share of producers who cater for all people who have plenty of room for triples, extra peripheral accessories. But there are still plenty of people who don't have the luxury of space (I know, I have been that one for some time with the wheel clamped to the dining table). So as far as currently, I don't need the products from Coffee Racer, I do applaud what they do for those in need.

That game with the software looks good with your steering skills, I know how to handle steering, but it is difficult to find it in a game, I hope this is recognized and everyone can use it, this looks really good, Just a few more weeks and my simrig is "almost ready" for testing, I have put a lot of time and effort into this and I will be happy that I have been able to test my 21 Nm steering wheel and learn the software with the games I play. ``bough``t, thanks again for your time in this dudes..i love rally the 3 corners driver, see ya

The Last Garage was 100% the best experience from the whole expo. Have you had the chance to try their 70s F1 car as well? I couldn't stop smiling for several laps when driving it

Expo looks like more approachable in terms of touch and feel than how they did it at ADAC

Im really curious and hyped about this new engine, could you describe a little more what felt new? Do you think its more a matter of improved ffb or pure physics? What about the throttle and brake input? Its something that always seems a little off in any sim

I think the feedback was set way too weak for those experiences and if it was twice more powerful would have been even better experience! The throttle and the brake felt a live which is so important for those old cars like the Escord MK2 but what felt really nice was the understanding of the grip beyond the limits! I was able to feel when exactly I will regain it back after slide controlling that mostly with the pedals instead from the counter steering! It is really hard to dive way deeper then that as I drove this for 15 min in total but was crazy to see how intuitive felt the driving which I usually get only with real cars and with games I need some time to adapt! I really want badly access to those physics 🙈

@@chepilevski yeah also the feel of the base is so much smoother and natural.. I'm annoyed with the cogging and ripple effect in the wheel when standing still in the sim. So no more fanatec for me that's for sure.

Couldn’t agree more. We really have no great sim with competitive multiplayer. Iracing is nearly 20 years old and looks like it. Has issues that will never be fixed. ACC is great but they don’t push the multiplayer so people don’t care. And that’s it. RF 2 is a joke still. AMS2 is the worst. Zero MP support. Just mind boggling all these millions of dollars being spent on gear and hardware and no one seems to want to step up and make a true next gen sim built from the ground up for sim rig owners.

So true man🙈 In terms of software the industry is like 10 years behind in terms of hardware. If that new physics engine succeeds will be awesome to see what sims big companies can create! I really have hopes for the next 4-5 years. Fingers crossed
