i got the GT1 Evo since september and love it. it's compact and doesn't take up much space. I added the integrated monitor mount (it's rock solid! using it with an LG 34" 21:9 curved monitor when I'm not playing in VR) and keyboard holder, additional mounting point etc absolutely love this thing, especially for this price point. Using a Simucube MiGE with it, very sturdy rig.

I’m interested to hear your finding on this since I bought a silver GT1 Evo in September. I found that the wheel uprights were too short for me (I’m 6’1”) and I couldn’t get the pedals high enough for the seating position I wanted. In the end I worked with Sim-Lab to get a set of longer uprights (90mm longer) which made a huge difference. I put the original wheel uprights where the pedal uprights are, moved the pedal uprights to support the front of the pedal deck and moved the wheel mount assembly closer to me for a much more comfortable and realistic driving position.

Great detailed review. Subbed!! Im debating on p1, gt1 (out of stock) and gt1 evo. My set up is all fanatec. Clubsport v2.5 Shifter sq Csl elite pedal w LC Handbreak. Which cockpit would you suggest? I know p1 is very rigid and know it'll hold my setup without any movements. But, will gt1 evo do the job for my equipment? Will there be any flex with clubsport v2.5 ffb? And will the shifter mount have flex? Thanks in advance.
@simracinggarage30265 жыл бұрын
The only concern I would have is the shifter mount flex. I do discuss this in the video. To make the shifter mount more solid I would add another piece of profile that would attach the top profile used for the shifter to the bottom profile used for the base of the cockpit. Other than that, I think the evo would do a good job for you.

Only thing you need is a parts list with measurements and the amount of bolts / nuts etc. Maybe do some research in the sim racing communities as there are a lot diy builds with needed parts. Hope that helps
