I have the NLR HF8 and I keep having a issue where the Left Rear Transducer stops working. I feel like it's a loose wire because if I push inside a bit to feel the wire it will trigger and work. So I feel it's that has anyone have experienced this?

thanks for the super thorough review! most other reviewers just point out the existence of a flaw, you also cover the extent and impact of them, which makes it much easier to judge whether it's something i could accept or not. "the quick release isn't as good as mozas" doesn't help me nearly as much as when you showed exactly how it works. yeah i think i'm going for this one. just the availability of used stuff for the thrustmaster ecosystem swings it, and i already have some TM stuff. i think it's by far the cheapest way for me to get into direct drive, i can live with the akward quick release. if i went with moza, the whole endeavour would cost me way more. there's a used t818 on ebay, if i can get it for cheap think it's the best option for me. i can live with a bit of flex as long as it's not impacting the ffb. also, that motor is a chunky boy! i would kinda love to run this thing with the case off. would be such a compact short solution

Love the review, decided to order, but they were not able to actually deliver anything. After 3 weeks, I demanded a refund. Too bad because the design seems great, but the company is dead.

Here's me posting on a really old video, but for situations where you're mating up two parts, both with the same threads, and you want actual clamping force, you need a BOLT with the threads ground off close to the head. Instead of forever altering the part, you can just grind down 1/4" of the bolt's threads (or just a hair over the thickness of the part) or just run down to the hardware store to get a bolt that works for that. Bolts are cheap, these parts are not.

bro you're reviews are always kick ass. They stand the test of time and always provide MORE details than necessary which imo is great especially considering you add time stamps. You have helped me with my big purchases of VRS base and pedals as well as this rig. Keep it up brotha!

Please consider doing an update on this. I had mine run for one evening then, nothing. The software seems to run, the ACC game is "patched and I launch ACC from the Motionhouse servicer software, but no fans run. They run when the button in back is pushed to test the power connections. But it not in any game. I'm currently working with Motion House in hope of finding a solution. Thx.

For people who wants to know were Barry is. I read this on Reddit i quote ''He lives near me, like 10 mins up the street. I bought my rig from him. Just doesn’t care and has many other interests. His main rig was set up for flight when I was there. He said at the end of the day it’s all just hardware that basically works the same and it was getting tiring. He does a lot of photography and competition rifle stuff. Really nice guy, went to buy the rig and was there for like 2 hours. Edit it was cool felt like I met a celebrity from our niche ha"

Yes this is all true. I've been watching his videos for years and had no idea he lives in the same City as I. I found out about 3 months ago when I bought a handbrake from him. I was at his home yesterday. He lost interest in sim racing but he's doing great! Hope he comes back but I doubt it.

do not screw the thing in like that. it is not meant to move like that. if you simply push it it will move. do not spin it like this guy you will cut your hands up trying to do so. very irresponsible and incorrect installation guide here.
@grimonformАй бұрын
You should not be rotating the thing to get it to line up. Simply push it. I cut my thumb trying to rotate the thing to align it as you showed but that is wrong.

Hola, me gustaría preguntar, tengo el t818 hace un año, es normal que después de una hora de carrera, note un roce en el eje? será debido a algún tipo de dilatación por la fricción? gracias de antemano y saludos.

Almost 18 months on, is there any chance you have had chance to try a newer model of the T818? I have seen some mention (and I hope it's true) that Thrustmaster might have reduced the flex somehow? It looks like a good wheel, but I am still concerned about the flex, it's the only thing putting me off. You're evaluation is always honest and thorough and I'd really appreciate your up to date view on this.
