Hi. Need some help. Just installed the gamer plus. If I understand, correctly u can connect with only the USb to pc. I tried to purchase the standard hapti connect software, it does install but can't find the driver. Next I tried simhub. All installed and headphones via splitter cable to headphone jack on pc. The buttkicker works but almost no sound on headphones no matter how high I turn volume. I suspect a conflict somewhere. Please advise.

Good Video. For the price, software should be included, especially since most of us already using transducers use simhub. I have my gamer 2 amp placed where I can reach it while driving, so I don't use a remote, but the wireless remote that allows you to access all the functions is a nice upgrade, unfortunately, you have to point it at the amp. For the price, the amp should, at a minimum, have 2 outputs, preferably 4, since many simmers use multiple transducers. My problem with the gamer 2 is it constantly shuts down from overheating if I set the volume over 60%, even with a fan blowing at it. the amp/transducer should be able to handle 100% volume, otherwise, what is the point of advertising a 90 watt amp/transducer (gamer 2) if you can only utilize about 50% - 60% of that power. I hope they fixed this problem. I am probably going to get the pro without the software, but man, it is expensive, especially if I want to attach more than 1. It is ridiculous that I need multiple amps. I am thinking of a third-party solution to drive the transducers.

Your channel has been providing solid content lately, i'm really enjoying your videos. I will say that for most I think the Dayton Audio/Nobsound setup with simhub is the most cost effective way to get bass shakers for sim racing. Two Dayton audios are around $80 with a nobsound around $30. Which is all still less than the buttkicker. So, if you're just simracing, I think the DiY approach is the best. But I do agree with you that I can't drive without that input anymore. It's such an easy way to get a feel for the car.mm

Thanks for watching! Cool I’ll have to look into Daytons to test out always been curious about them. Thanks for input, 🙂

I had 2 Daytons, but they both blew within 4 months, even though I was only using a 50-watt nobsound amp at about 70% volume. I am actually using a third Dayton transducer on my desk chair using my old Gamer 2 amp. Even though it is 90 watts, I only have the volume at around 40%, which is plenty for the chair and the Dayton transducer. That setup has been working great.

Love the video. After watching I’ve just bitten the bullet! We have the same TrakRacer rig - have you purchased the additional mount to attach to the side of the rig as you have shown in video? I wondered about attaching with the clamp at the back on the round frame rather than another $50 for the trakRacer mount?

Thanks for watching; I have the Trak racer mount for the side as it won’t fit onto the back properly I tried already, then got the mount

Would the transducers fit under the seat? I'm considering purchasing Trak Racer's universal bass shaker mount and mod it to fit the kicker as needed.
@simracingden2 жыл бұрын
I think that will depend on your seat and cockpit but it’s possible I’ve seen others do this.

Hi i want to buy my first simrig ,I just have a dilemma and I don't know what to choose,I will definitely decide on a trak racer, but I don't know whether to take the tr8 or add 200 euros and take the tr160. Can you advise me which is better to choose? Regards,

Hey! So here's a few things to consider: First with the Trak Racer TR8 and the TR8 Pro, which is likely the model you're referring to since it replaced the TR8. Having experience with the previous generation TR8, I can say that it was a fantastic cockpit. The TR8 Pro builds upon its strengths by introducing an adjustable steering wheel deck. If you don't plan on adding many accessories like a button box to your rig, the TR8 should serve you well. However, it does have some limitations in terms of adjustability. Regarding the wheelbase you're considering, the TR8 should be capable of handling even 20nm bases. I personally used it with the Fanatec DD1 and noticed some flex only at high torque levels. On the other hand, when I upgraded to the Asetek Invicta Pedals, which require more brake force, I did start noticing some flex in the pedal plate. If it's within your budget, I would recommend considering the TR160. For an additional 200 euros, it offers a more rigid construction, greater adjustability, and the ability to support more accessories in the future, should you decide to expand your setup. In my opinion, the TR160 could potentially be the last cockpit you need for a long time. These are just my thoughts, but I encourage you to conduct thorough research as well. While I don't believe you will be disappointed with the TR8, you may find yourself wanting to upgrade in the future, whereas the TR160 could provide a more future-proof solution.

i got the buttkicker mini lfe and it's AWESOME!!!! I already had the amplifier + low pass thankfully. it's hooked up to my lazyboy and it's great for movies and music too! though when it's used for media instead of gaming, it's paired with 2 other subwoofers because more bass is always boss. I'm waiting on a smaller transducer puck that I'm gonna attach to my racing wheel stand itself, along with some rumble motors + arduino for my pedals, I'm ALL IN on the bass shaker revolution baby!! on a side note, I do think I should have gotten a bigger buttkicker because I find it very easy to overheat with my current setup despite not going over the peak power limits, I've got a halfassed 3d printed cooling fan idea formulating but I don't know how to 3d model, a major character flaw for sure.

How many buttkicker do you have? I’m thinking getting one between the pro or the plus, I have the Trak racer TR8 pro rig, but not sure if one would be enough

@@simracingden did you sold the plus and get the pro? The price ain’t really that much of difference, I do want to get some more immersion as I’m getting into this rabbit hole deeper everytime I sit in my rig. In order to get the pro, should I also grab their rubber floor mount and minimize the sound onto the floor?

Great channel man. Just subbed. You can control the volume of the Buttkickers with the PC panel thing (from the other video)? Even running the Buttkickers through sim hub? I have 4 Buttkickers. A Gamer2, and 3 mini concerts from the simulation kit. I have to control the volume through the Buttkicker controllers. I constantly need to adjust volume of each transducer every time I race depending on the time of day and what not. It would be real nice to have the volume controlled with a knob.
@simracingden2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching and the sub! much appreciated. Yes I control the volume of the buttkicker through the PC Panel even running them through SimHub. In the PC Panel software you can program specific knobs to control specific output devices from your Windows Sound Output menu. I hope this helps if you have any more questions don't hesitate to reach out again. Thanks again!
