Hi all, hope you enjoy the video. I enjoyed making it! 😂 This product offers a great mixture of realism & gameplay elements to produce a very immersive experience. Point of correction - the Cessna elevator trim is on a tab and the elevator would not drop at 0kts on the ground on a real aircraft. Developer will update the config to disable this in a forthcoming update.

I have had my Brunner now for around 6 months, after flighing ffb there really is no going back. Tweaking the profiles for the different aircraft is needed with the Brunner, there are pre made profiles on the Brunner cloud that other users have saved that act as a good starting point. The landing challenges are fun. The price is so good, I paid a lot more for my baby Brunner. Always vat at 20%, certainly for the eu from Switzerland.with reference to mounting on your motion rig. I have a p3. I bought some steel plate from Germany it comes in various sizes and they can cut it to specific sizes I bolted that to the rig and attached the brunner to that.if you would like a picture mark let me know.

You certainly enjoyed yourself 😄 Personally I think I still favor using the butt kicker, because I can use it for all types of aircrafts (airliners included) . I prefer to have the vibrations and other effects in the chair. That said it's because my GA yoke is an all metal, heavy duty one, which is very realistic. Most yokes are light and flimsy and that indeed kills the immersion. For people who fly exclusively GA aircraft this might be great value for money indeed.

Pretty sure a C172 has an external trim tab for pitch trim, so you don’t get that movement on the yoke when you trim on the ground. The Pa38 is the only aircraft I’ve flown irl which does that. Other than that, this looks excellent (assuming that you can set up profiles for it to work just as well with larger aircraft as with small GA).
@NanaHoshi355 ай бұрын
interesting to know that PA38's trim works like that, I only knew older fighters like F4 F14 F15 etc do it in that way haha. BTW the boss of the company replied on their d-iscord: "confirmed that this option will be added in the next software update: To add: “Disable hardware trim on ground” effect and leave this box unchecked by default."

I really really want to get a yoke, having spent a fortune on Fanatec for sim racing whenever I fly, using a VKB stick I long for more immersion. However because my rig is dual purpose with throttle velcro'd to a shifter plate on the side and a swinging keyboard tray to put my stick on in front of the wheel, I don't have a good option to mount one yet. I need to come up with a system to attach to the profile rig that allows it to swing out of the way for racing, but swing back in and lock in place when I want to fly

Very strange to have the yoke move when you trim. Trim tabs don't move the yoke, they work on the control surfaces. In some aircraft (FBW) the entire horizontal stabilizer moves with the elevator trim, for sure not on a C 172.

@SimHangerFS Thanks for the review. I have recently received my CLS120. I haven't had much time yet to experiment with the settings in the software. However three initial disappointments: 1. The gearing feel in roll I find very unrealistic. 2. The plastics horns of the yoke make a lot of squeaking noises even with relatively low pitch forces...providing a rather "cheap plastic" feeling. 3. When performing a glide in (idle throttle) approach and landing the propwash effect keeps flicking the yoke all the way down. This is very unrealistic. If you consider purchase; mind the potential shipping costs and import tax. To the Netherlands these were substantial.
@wizzardrincewind94584 ай бұрын
The most important thing for me ist the resistance of the yoke: If your plane is standing on the ground, there is nearly no resistance. If you are flying slow (landing), the resistance is very soft. The resitance must be from soft to strong as you are flying slow to fast. You can feel the speed of the plane through the resistance of the yoke. Sorry for my english (i am german :)

Anything that adds more realistic feedback to the controls in MSFS 2020 has to be a good thing in my opinion. The scenery in MSFS 2020 has vastly improved over earlier iterations of the sim, as has the flight modelling and the quality and range of different aircraft we simmers have to choose from. ATC has improved as well. Adding fairly realistic force feedback to the yoke and rudders looks to be a game changer.

Great video, and glad you're enjoying it! Just curious... I'm not sure how the trim works on this modern Cessna, but moving the trim tabs at idle and rest on the ground on the M/N models I used to fly should have no movement effect on the yoke. Thanks for the video!

Great showcase of this yoke. It looks fantastic and I love that it could elicit genuine joy. One point to make about your stall recovery: no ailerons! This could induce a snap roll in a real aircraft, so keep wings level and use rudder only for a dropping wing until your airspeed recovers. 👍

@raywalsh54145 ай бұрын
Looks like a fine piece of gear, if perhaps a bit heavy duty for the average simmer. I fly the 172 at my local club and the loading on the yoke in normal operations is light enough so you would be unlikely to find yourself wrestling with the yoke with two hands ..... assuming the wings were still attached ! One small point, the trim has zero effect on the yoke/drooping elevator when the aircraft is stationary so maybe that's something that can be addressed in the settings.

For 777, it depends on how good the data PMDG would expose to the telemetry otherwise the software has to do it on itself..but since the real T7 has an artificial feel system that alters the control loading depending on various parameters, it's kinda like a flight sim FFB device. For the buses..if you really want to fly the sidestick buses with a yoke, you can simply set it as spring centered I believe. For the yoked buses of 300/310, I'm not sure if they have "FFB" system or just spring-centered..
