Just pulled my rig out of storage for the past 2y this weekend. Simhub has come a LONG way in that time. I’ll give it a whirl for sure. Both of these are miles from the setup I had to do back in 2020. Appreciate the info. Looking forward to testing today.

1:36 COMPLETELY different motion cues. Simhub leaning and compressing right vs SRS left. I wanna see the latest simhub motion with your "tuning guide"

@@SilynRaces they’re literally that different. It’s all setup exactly the same in terms of directions and reversing actuators. They just output the data so different that they’re completely different experiences If you happen to be in the area, you’re welcome to come down to the shop and try both softwares. You’ll be surprised at how different and better SimHub is over SRS

@@SimCoaches my eracinglab has been on simhub since I did DOFReality H3 beta support for SMC3 on Simhub. Wotever is amazing.

Curious, can you guys post your Simhub Motion Profile? I am curious how your tunings compare to mine :)

I have the dofreality h6 and I could not get simhub to work with it. My understanding is that 3dof is its max. If I'm wrong please let me know and how to use a 6dof with the software

Any idea why I get nothing out of the Motion Haptics? I get movement for Orientations, Accelerations and Traction Loss but absolutely nothing from Haptic Effects. No Rumble Strip or Suspensions movement, etc. Driving me crazy. I have the gain turned up everywhere. Any help would be appreciated. I have a DOF Reality P3. Thank you

Interesting, which game are you playing? We get this effects so I know for sure they work Some games don’t have that telemetry, but typically that’s obvious when they don’t so I assume that’s not the case for you

I'm not a fan of the platform itself, I much prefer a 6DOF Stewart Platform myself. But looking at the two platforms, and whatever I could see from the track from the seat 🙂, the issues I can see are twofold: 1) SimTools does not wash out the rotational forces that arise from the nature of the road and suspension, it keeps them constant until they go away on their own, which I think is a big mistake on a rig with such short throw actuators, it's much more beneficial to wash them out as much as you wash out lateral forces on the sway and surge axis. 2) SRS is not using enough filtering on the lateral forces and this causes the jerkiness of the motion and they also don't seem to implement the rotational forces that are due to road undulations. This is probably due to them understanding that the actuators don't have the latitude to manage to properly handle both the rotational forces and emulating persistent lateral and longitudal forces via roll and pitch so they ignore it. I would say on the longitudal axis SimTools looks to be better and on the lateral axis SRS seems to give you better cues for accelerations. So both have room to improve cues, unfortunately you won't get a lot of sensation with these actuators, the travel is just not enough. You can get road textures and a bit of acceleration cues but the limiting factor is going to be actuator displacement. The other issue with these rigs is that the monitors are stationary and they break immersion immediately. VR with a true 6DOF Stewart Platform is the only way to go 🙂. Granted those are much more complex, and even harder to tune the motion cues.

Interesting. I have a Sigma Integrale DK6 (6” travel) 3 DOF. I wonder if Simhub supports that system? That’s exactly my main complaint. It can be pretty jerky, and it kinda “slams” down when I land off a jump.
