Awesome video, love the rotpriest-centric decks. I've been trying a similar list in standard, it's a bit slower with not as many protection spells in standard but the general idea is the same.

For pioneer you should have some graveyard hate in sideboard since there’s a lot of graveyard action in some of the stronger decks - cool list tho

I probably should yes. However after playing vs graveyard strategies a few times I never really felt like I needed it honestly. Vs Greasefang for instance I felt like I could just completely ignore what they were trying to do and do my thing with giving them poison counters. Counter a few essential spells here and there and their graveyard was pretty much useless.

List looks great! Hoping to try a list like this soon as well. One thing I thought of: I'm not sure how relevant the untap effect on shore up is; snakeskin veil seems strictly better to me.

I'm unsure of the Mana Base (Mirrex and Seed Core), why not use some Hinterland Harbors? (Still on the intre, let's see how it goes)

That's fine. I really like reject imperfection in the side so probably wouldn't do that currently but there's nothing wrong with that choice.

hello, in your opinion, is this the only "playable" version of toxic in pioneer that you tested? have you had the opportunity to test other lists? (maybe gw, bant, abzan) What makes the archetype currently unplayable in pioneer? A thousand thanks :)

It's definitely not the only one. This is just the first brew I ever made. I don't play pioneer very often so this archetype can certainly be explored more.

This is so close to being standard legal you just have to switch up the manabase and sideboard. Do you think it is worth experimenting with a standard version? I would expect the deck to be even more powerful in a slower format with less efficient removal.

Unfortunately pioneer and standard's removal overlap. You are still going to see cut down, go for the throat, and even more brotherhood's end. It will perform slightly worse because of the worse mana base. You will be heavily favored in game 1. After sideboards you get destroyed.

pains me to say it but pioneer is a very companion heavy format. and this is a jagantha deck. when you run out of gas it will help.

it's not that of a real deal, in my opinion (obviously). I m playing this in Standard and I had to modify it, because reasons. I guess that in pionneer there is way lot more of spot removals. I really don't like Bring the Ending and Charge the Equation is way more a sideboard card.
