Simi Ji! This is long overdue, I don't have any words to describe how well you conduct interviews! I have watched them all on your channel multiple times over the years. Such grace, elegance and professionalism. Interviewers directly/indirectly sometimes attack their guests based on what the media has written about them. However, you see things from your guest's point of view. For example, you told Hema ji that she never tried to take the total importance in a man's life. Like wow! That is so true, she sacrificed a lot in her life. Many people don't see it that way but you did. I am amazed with how well you make your guests feel so comfortable, you use your words so wisely. I always told my mom, I want to be famous just so I can have a rendezvous with Simi ji for an opportunity to meet a beautiful soul like you! I personally learn so much of life just by watching your interviews. I really hope you start these rendezvous interviews again with the celebrities of my generation. I know everyone wants to see them again because Simi ji you are the best interviewer of ALL TIME!

So nice to see you both my hot favourite Hemaji and Simiji sooo much lively on this show and with Hemajis daughters made me remember my childhood and meeting this truely adorable Hemadharamjis couple at Bhavans college during their college student shoot when i was just 7 or 8 yrs and in that entire crowd who came to watch the shooting being done under great security i felt so previlegde too be allowed to go and meet both of them and take their autograph .They both wrote one line each for me the paper is still preserved .I hope if Hemaji flashbacks her memories she will surely remember me dressed in ghagra choli and with full makeup.I really adore both of them and proudly tell my children about this event.Love u a lot

Dharmendra got married at the age of 19, and it was an arrange marriage with a normal village girl. When he became an actor and got so successful, and the most beautiful actresses were attracted to him, it was natural for him also to get attracted to a woman of his level, in terms of looks, career, fame! That’s what happens in most of the cases when one spouse becomes over successful and the other doesn’t grow at all! It’s important for both spouses to keep growing together so that they’re always compatible! Also because his first marriage was arranged by parents and there was no love involved in it (like the majority of such marriages), it’s natural for anybody to fall in love with someone! So everyone is guilty here, including his parents and society! But the woman who suffered the most must be his first wife, and she had absolutely no fault in this! She was not allowed to study, make a career for herself, or create her identity!

Hema Malini was and is one of the most beautiful actresses of our time. It is a rare treat to watch her be candid. Dharmendra is supposedly conservative but clearly has no qualms being a bigamist. Talk about double standards! As always, the rules only apply to the women. I love this episode because it is obvious there is so much more than it meets the eye. Simiji, being very gracious and sympathetic, did not probe further when she noticed how uncomfortable Hemaji was. No woman should compromise so much for a man, even if she loves him very much. Unfortunately, Hemaji seems rather innocent and naive, which is also understandable as she did not have the opportunity or time to socialise when she was young. That might have clouded her judgement when she was in love. I am a big fan of Dharamji but he made the mistake getting involved with Hemaji in my opinion. From my research, he was reeling under depression in the 70s and that probably made him pursue Hemaji as he just wanted to be happy. We don't know what problems he was having that he needed to 'escape', so we cannot judge him too harshly either. I'm sure he loved her but maybe not as much as he may have made himself to believe. Besides love and maybe guilt, he had to marry Hemaji to save her honour. Now, the man spends most of his time alone in his farm, probably still unhappy but at least getting some joy through nature which he likes. And Hemaji consoles her disappointment by pursuing politics and of course her dance. May all of them find peace and joy.

Same, at around 15:00 I was getting the vibe that all wasn't as happy as Hemaji has been saying. The way she evades eye contact, to the way her down goes down, to her iterations of how she's been given the freedom she has through her husband, does indeed hint that there have been a lot of compromises that she's made. She's just counting the positives to ignore them. At least that's the read I got
