Good video, however, you don't need a calculator for the ratio question (24:07) if you do it in a different way. Find the length SF as a ratio, so cube root 27:64 = 3:4. Then square to get ASF which becomes 9:16. Do 800/16 = 50, finally 50 x 9 = 450. Easier in my opinion :)
@jacob95932 жыл бұрын
I also did it this way by spotting that the ratios are already square and cubed numbers

@fj357110 ай бұрын
For the ratio question at 27:64, there a much faster way to do it. You can just keep everything in fractional form and use fractional indices to convert from vsf to asf and divide 800 by the asf: vsf = 64/27 therefore, asf = (64/27)^2/3 - this is the same as cube rooting it then squaring it. 800 ÷ (64/27)^2/3 = 450

Hi there mr maths tutor i was going to ask what the best way for a foundation student (me) to move to higher bearing in mind i had got full marks in foundation paper 1 and i have been moved to higher so whats the best way for me to settle into the higher paper as i want to be achieving a grade 6 and i am a year 10 student.
@TheGCSEMathsTutor4 жыл бұрын
Start by making sure that every single topic in the grade 5 crossover playlist is absolutely nailed! As soon as you are confident will all of those then I would move onto the grade 7 playlist and begin learning each topic/making notes and practicing the questions etc. Once you are done with a topic either mark that as one to move on from or one that you need to revisit 3-4 weeks down the line. Just keep up with that and before you know it you will have covered a huge amount of content and should have a clearly structured set of topics that you need to revisit 😁🙏🏼🙏🏼

This gave me 3:4 and then I squared both the numbers giving me 9:16, I used this and divided the volume of B by 16 and got 50.
