@m nb It is still a miracle because the roman conquest is older than your empires. The romanian language is considered by that user a miracle because it is surrounded by slavic language + an uralic one. That's why. Also... the so called slavic conquest left some slavic peoples/languages which are in no way nearly as isolated as romanian is from the other romance languages.

I understood the Portuguese part, mostly because I have knowledge of Spanish. And as a Romanian speaker, I could then notice similarities between Romanian and Portuguese that would be harder to pick up if I wasn't learning Spanish. For example: (Por) Quien e ultimo de beber = (Rom) Cine e ultimul care bea. Another thing that helped is knowing that Spanish has "Tengo/Tiene = to have" which is similar to "Tin/Tine= to keep or to hold" in Romanian. However, in Romanian we use "a avea" for "to have" so this is what confused the Romanian speaker Andrei in the last question

He’s not Brazilian neither Portuguese although he has a great diction when speaking our language. Something else : in the 7:30 min, when he said : “ Quem é o último “de” comer “ in Brazilian- Portuguese we would say : “ Quem é o último “a” comer “, “a” instead of “de”. I wonder if in Portugal they also use “a” instead of “ de” in that case . His “ r’s “ are also different from where I’m from in Brazil, our “r’s” are very guttural pronounced at the end of our throat more similar to the ones in French.

Cuvântul cu care mi-a fost cerut să formulez o propoziție a fost “durere”, nu doare.
@lalemarinescu65196 жыл бұрын
@@euAndrei Ai fi putut spune : "am o durere in suflet", ori "am o durere la un picior". In limba romana expresia "am durere" e nefireasca, se spune " a o durere". Oricum, e foarte interesant si amuzant in acelasi timp. Si inca ceva, cand prezinti un verb, trebuie sa fie la modul infinitiv, nu la indicativ. Sper ca nu te-am necajit, nu aceasta a fost intentia mea. Succes in continuare!

Hey bro i got some Words for you that you could maybe use when you do the Afghan Persian(Dari) vs Iranian Persian. Toilet in Iran = Toillet(from French) Toilet in Afghanistan = Tashnāb(Farsi) School= Madrese in Iran (From Arabic) School= Maktab in Afghanistan(Farsi) Hospital in Iran= Bimaristan-Place of the sick people (Farsi) Hospital in Afghanistan = Shafā khana- place of the healing(Farsi) Airport in Iran = Foroodgāh(Farsi) Airport in Afghanistan = Maidāne Havai - literally translated as Airport in Farsi Cat in Iran = Gorbeh Cat in Afghanistan = Pishak Vehicle Horn in Iran : Bouq ( I hope it pronounced like that) Vehicle Horn in Afghanistan: Ārang To take part in something in Iran = Sherket kardan To take part in something in Afghanistan = Eshterāk kardan Flashlight in Iran = Cheraghe Qoe Flashlight in Afghanistan = Cheraghe Dasti To search for something in Iran = Jostojo kardan To search for something in Afghanistan = Pālidan (I guess from old Persian or Avestan) Turn back in Iran = a3ghab raftan Turn back in Afghanistan = pas raftan Cup in Iran = Estekān (i guess) Cup in Afghanistan = Piāla Gift in Iran = Hadye (from Arabic i guess ) Gift in Afghanistan = Tohfa/Tohfe Walnut in Iran = Maghze Gerdoh Walnut in Afghanistan = Çahar Maghz Yawning in Iran = Khemyāze kashidan Yawning in Afghanistan = Fājha Kashidan The following words are the once I am not sure about : Zuhr bekheir Good midday in Iran Chāsht bekheir: Good midday in Afghanistan a3sr bekheir : Good afternoon in Iran Digar bekheir : Good afternoon in Afghanistan The next one would be shām bekheir in Afghanistan which means good eve but I am not sure how they say it in Iran and for the last one I am pretty sure that we both say Shab bekheir, correct me if i am wrong. And please let me know if Zohr and a3sr are really used in Iran for midday and afternoon. And sorry if I got some Iranian words wrong. And maybe also let me know if you really only use Gorbeh for cat in Iran and not pishak (like in Afghanistan)because a Kurdish friend of me (he is from turkey) once told me that in Kurdish they also say „Pishek“ which would be really interesting if you really don’t use that word because Iran lies exactly between Afghanistan and the region of Kurdistan.

Thank you so much for this!! I have a few others ones as well, so this makes for a perfect list to use! I've been wanting do an "Afghanistan / Iran" video for the longest time. I even found some people who said they may do it but it never worked out. I guess I just need a person in Toronto who is really up for it and has interest in doing it! I

Out of all these lingual-similarities videos this one was most fun. Both of them seem funny. Tho i understood "Morto/Mort" only. Because as we know in English "mortal' is something that can die/ doesn't live forever. So Mort/Morto meaning death/being dead is similar to that. Loan word i guess and now i am intrigued about the origin of these languages.
@lucas92695 жыл бұрын
Both Portuguese and Romanian derive from Latin. Because of the fact that both were part of the Roman Empire and the loan word in English is the result of Roman and Norman French contact with it, which makes more than 50% of English vocabulary Latin-based
