Very smart placing of the sleeve pocket to the left. This way you can use this for skiing too.

I still like the map pocket in the back of my old G3. My tablet goes in their during field inspections. I also like the short length.

For raining season what would you recommend pro dry or G4 jacket?

I don't know about unmatched. For the money Columbia sportswear makes PFGand have plenty of jackets with similar features that are tried-and-true in the worst of weather for less than half the cost of the Simms jackets. If you go to mountain hardwear jackets... theyre on another level compared to Simms.

The pockets on this one are like the pockets on the Slick, which does not have this problem. But yeah, I have the previous version, I know what you mean.
