Brian is one phenomenal dude and reminesce about my mid 20s when I blew my life saving to go on a one week stay there and fish with him and his wife. Well spoke! It’s so hard sometimes to describe the drive, preparation, the addiction and all of the things that go into the perfect take, or the last take that you have chased every since…this video is so well spoken and shows the viewer what the steelhead can do to anyone’s open soul. Iv watched this video and shown so many other anglers new and veterans of the steelhead fishing community and I tell each one of them this is why I do it. This is what will wake u up at night from a dead sleep…. The anticipation of the next take… love this video and the ones who filmed it and made it all come together. Truly a masterpiece. I'd fish there, yea, but I'd have a hell of a time concentrating on it. Absolutely beautiful country. I had this problem when I fished trout and whitefish in Alberta. Just couldn't keep my mind on the fishing. Great video, and some awesome fish too.

Thompson river when it was open had larger steelhead. Huge legendary steelhead that would rise to a dry fly. 😎

Have dreamt about fishing the Skeena system for years but every time I think I’m ready it gets more and more expensive to go . Basically I’ve been priced out , but I guess there’s still hope . Thanks for taking us along.

I just got back a couple weeks ago from my 15th fall trip to the region. It is a special place unlike any other steelhead rivers I have fished. Hopefully there is more to come, maybe for the different seasons...?

A river (and its tributaries) where your wildest steelheading dreams may actually come true. I did hook and land my fish of a lifetime on a Skeena Trib. First time I picked up a spey rod and it was the 2nd steelhead I landed on an unweighted fly (2nd of the day, too). That'd be the fish in my photo. I doubt I will ever personally see a larger steelhead, let alone hook and land another of this size. 43x23.

cool video .. ive always wanted to make it up there... one day... curious about those little boats.. why dont you use regular smaller jet sleds? like stealthcrafts of g3's or something... seems like a lot of you guys prefer the smaller inflatable jets boats... is there a motor restriction or something? big rapids?

The inflatables are lighter and can handle skinnier water much easier, and we’ve got a lot of skinny water around here, especially in the fall. They also can handle pretty heavy rapids much easier.

Hey. I just watched your video on the skeena. I saw that a big focus of the video was the un-dammed and uninterrupted river that these fish species travel up. Did you know that there is a major pipeline PRGT that threatening these waters. I wonder how you could support those that live here who are opposed to the pipeline project that jeopardizes the skeena and the tributaries !
