I wish everyone in this troubled world we live in would hear these lyrics and contemplate the meaning of this song. They NEED to know the pain man can inflict on all mankind, they need to know the world's history. No one individual's desire is worth the pain and destruction this song tells. We should never forget.

This is certainly the finest creation of an excellent duo. On Sunday evenings, after dinner, my extended family would gather around the swan-statue to sing this treasure. Especially after Suzie died. Share it with the kids!
