Players like Saka constantly find themselves not having someone to pass to, or they pass to him and he easily loses the ball - which then gives the opposition an advantage. The past few games England found themselves having only 10 minutes or so to quickly score because they were losing. That’s a risky way to play. Out of all the teams left in the competition I think that England have the strongest individual players, but as a collective Team it doesn’t look good.

Southgate got an easy run to the semis in every tournament except the last World Cup, you play a good team in the quarterfinals and guess what happens, get easy games and the semi finals are achievable. Southgate has been lucky in 3 out of 4 tournaments with the draw and ending up on the easy side

Look at Ericson's three quarter finals in a row. Regardless of whether or not they should have done better, look at all the misfortunes. 2002. Pre tournament injuries to Gerrard and Neville. Beckham broke his metatarsal in April ( is that why he bottled it for Brazil's equaliser?) 04. No Rio due to the drugs test thing. Rooney breaking his foot against Portugal. Campbell's perfectly good goal being disallowed. 06. Rooney injured before the tournament. Owen limping out during the group stage. Beckham went off early during Portugal game, before Rooney followed him for the stamping. Bobby Robson, Hoddle and Fabio could point to similar moments. Southgate has suffered no significant injuries (depending on your view of McGuire), no sending offs, no dodgy refereeing decisions. In 4 tournaments!! I'm standing next to that man in an electric storm!!

It’s all irrelevant now, you simply have to just get behind the team and accept the same dross will occur from here till the end and hope for a miracle. However if the fa renew southgates contract after this tournament the entire board should be stood down. His tactics have been found out and in 4 years nothing has changed. The same type of players benefit from Gareth’s system and the ones with creativity play 2 minute cameo roles.

We play such poor football, that I almost feel asleep watching the Switzerland game. This is an entertainment business, of course it's a balance with getting results but we've been dreadful. I've almost got to the point where I don't care, because it's so dull. Beating Slovakia, Slovenia and Switzerland doesn't thrill us, when we struggled in every game. I know that some teams are resilient, but we are getting 3-4 shots on target in 120 minutes, we are not peppering the goal and the keeper is nothaving a worldie

Regarding the Jude Bellingham comments. He’s right Jude hasn’t been great. He scored a goal in first game but was fairly anonymous in that game, did nothing in the other 2 group games. Then a world class goal against Slovakia but didn’t know he was on the pitch for 90 mins and an average performance with little hints of class. Love Jude and a lot of other players in that group but by no means no one has been great this tournament apart from guehi, in which konsa stepped up when called in.

When these players are at their own FC's they are SURROUNDED by mostly WORLD-CLASS Players but....... when in their England shirt/team, they are SEPERATED FROM the world class players and then HAVE to Work together, mostly ALL STRANGERS in a common cause, PLAY BRILLIANTLY NOW FOR English FANS and Media or Risk their WRATH !!!!!!!
