Simon did a fantastic job- congrats to him on that well-deserved L.A. Film Critics Best Actor Award. So glad he was asked about improvisation- Mikey's mile-a-minute talking jags were incredible to watch, and Simon made them look completely natural, as if all these random thoughts were just coming off the top of Mikey's head with no pretense. That's not easy to pull off without appearing at least a little too "actorly," but Simon never seems to be outside of Mikey, acting the role- he is Mikey.

As someone whose been a fan of Simon for a minute, he has always done these extemporaneous / improvisational rants and raps (famous for doing them on social media) so that's why it feels so natural
