Do you want to know how Simone Biles is scored on floor? If so, watch this video! kzbin.info/www/bejne/i3fNe5qIp8qobKs It includes both her difficulty and execution score along with slow motion videos of her tumbling passes. :D

@@darkmatter5940 Agreed: it's super risky! I think that if she wants it to be named after her, she should do it at a World Cup event, but even then I would caution just because of how dangerous it potentially could be.

@@darkmatter5940 She really said that? Awww. I somehow convinced myself that we'd see the Double Pike in competition before the TTY, lol

the fact that she had a 6.3 start value and still got a 16.0 score is might boggling

Super impressive! Looks like a 15.0 will be the magic number in the new CoP for the next quad.

Her Amanar at the 2019 World Championships at the even final HAS to be the best vault she's ever done. Also, fun fact: as of now, that's the last vault Simone has performed in competition.
@GymAnalysis4 жыл бұрын
Internationally, I would definitely agree! She's also done a few superb vaults in American competitions too, but for the most part all of her vaults are fantastic :).

@@roanjorna4698 I'd say the 2019 one is definitely one of the best Amanars (if not the best), but her half-ons (especially the Biles from the 2018 QF!) are just out of this world too.

Definitely true, but I think it's fair. The Cheng is like a Rudi with an arguably more difficult entry.

I don't think she will compete the TTY, at least for now; for these Olympic games she already has a far more difficult vault on her belt: The Yurchenko Double Pike. Maybe, and only MAYBE, if she doesn't retire after the Olympics, she may try and compete it. She could easily do it, though she would have to wait until there's a national and international competition for her to submit the skill successfully.

It was definitely 15.966 -- I remember commenting that I was hoping to see Simone break 16.000 with her Biles vault, but it didn't happen because of her kidney stones.
@colesmith75093 жыл бұрын
A few of these are ridiculous. The first vault CLEARLY had crossed and flexed feet (0.2 total) along with a huge hop (and the back foot doing a smaller hop) and then bringing the back foot to the front foot (I would say 0.7 if I'm being conservative). A 9.6 is obnoxious
@GymAnalysis3 жыл бұрын
I agree that a 9.6 is definitely a bit high on that first vault, but remember that the judges are only watching in real time and from a different angle! If the judges only considered her big step as 0.3 and then your two form issues, that'd be a 9.5.
@murasakino1012 жыл бұрын
You also have to consider how difficult those vaults were at the time too. Even with crossed and flexed feet, you can still get a pretty good score
@MensGymnasticsAnalysis2 жыл бұрын
@@murasakino101 But he's talking about the E-score (for execution) not about the final score or the D-score (for difficulty). So having a high final score due to the difficulty of the vault is okay and valid, but a high execution score influenced by the difficulty of the skill makes no sense
