You haven't yet reacted to Ayreon which is something you must do urgently as Ayreon is one of the main projects of Arjen Lucassen who composed this music. Start with The Day That The World Breaks Down - The Source (2017). It is an amazing introduction to the Ayreon Universe (and also does feature both Simone AND Floor (along with nine other singers all of whom are stunning)). Aeterna is sung from the point of view of a star about to go supernova and knowing that in her death she will create heavier elements such as oxygen and carbon that one day may give rise to life. The "choir" only comprise two people, Simone and a guy called John Jaycee Cuijpers, layered around about a hundred times. You'll meet John Cuijpers eventually once you've dived in to the Ayreon Universe.

Agreed. And don't forget the live version of TDTTWBD they did at the last shows. And fun fact for this song: the Latin lyrics were done by Arjen's brother.

All of Vermillion is 🔥🔥 Simone set the new high bar for female metal vocalist solo work. She pulled in Arjen Lucasson of Aeryon to compose. Rob Vanderloo bassist in Epica did the bass in every song. This was first vid single she released few months ago, several released after and album dropped about a month ago. She is powerful through this amazing album. You can hear Arjen’s musical hand in every song…great reaction 😉🤘🏻 P.S. Simone and Floor have moved on….she is close with Eliyze Ryd, Alicia White-Gluz and especially Charlotte Wessels. This is clearly demonstrated in all the collab songs she has done with these gals in recent years. Yes all the backing vocals are many tracks of her and one male voice.
