Autism is not the only thing that has changed over the years due to advances in medical science over the years, it's totally normal and not sinister at all. I have no idea where you got this "broadened in a sinister way" idea from but it makes no since.

I've been riding Onewheel since 2018 and it's the greatest thing ever for dog people! It will take my dog from 100% energy to 0% in maybe 10 minutes. I can never run fast enough to keep up with him so the onewheel allows me to get all his energy out and keep mine haha

I am not a dog owner... And I'm not a skateboarder, but am guessing that one reason skateboards work with dogs is body Weight. The act of leaning from one side to the other allows the board to turn. If the "Paw-dles" were the length of the board they may have been able to imitate the action of a skateboard. This was a fun video :-)
