You can also try needle and yarn/thread cornrows or flat twists if you cannot cornrow.

another alternative is just doing braids or double strand twists connecting if you don't like rubberbands. I can't cornrow, so that tends to work for me better, as I don't always feel like hunting the bands out of my hair when taking it down, lol! (also prevents it from being too tight.)

Sis, I appreciate you! I’ve been doing my hair since I was 15 and I use to change my hair every 1-2 weeks. Now I dread doing my hair because of braiding my own hair takes so long now that I’m in my late 20s and I’m a mother now. This technique is very smart and quick but yet still give the flat seamless foundation for my lacefront wigs. I can only imagine how quick it going to be when taking it down!!

Or you can use the small plastic bands made on the style of rubber bands . The ones that are used on babies with very little hair. They don’t pull on your hair as much.

Omg! Love your technique! Going to do this tonight. I'm slow at cornrows and griping the hair. Love your advice on not putting the rubber bands so tight and use oils for the bands. Also cutting them out is a good tip instead of pulling them out. Thanks for sharing! 😀😊😀

OMG THIS IS AMAZING, my mom is the only one to know how to braid, she taught me but i always forget, I know how to do the most basic braid but I don’t how to feed in the hair because it comes out lumpy and weird looking , I just got first wig and I was overwhelmed just looking at my hair and the low of a skill to braid, THIS WAS ABSOLUTELY GENIUS and I’m glad I can wear my wig without the hassle of braiding , thank you sooo muchhh

You can try a needle and yarn flat twist. I feel like it's the easiest method out of everything, and I personally find it to be the least bulky
