Man your channel is excellent, I like your honest style, one of the best outdoor channels Ive seen in a while. You actually test and use your blades and your abuse tests of Moras and Hultafors have provided some useful feedback. I too use my blades often so thats why Im usually holding a Mora. You seem to have a great respect for quality budget scandi blades just like me. Keep up the great work. Subbed

Hi Simon, do you have a video about how you make your Mora sheath modifications? I would like to replace my current sheath attachments with ones like yours. The material and parts list would also be nice.
@SimonsDiscoveries9 жыл бұрын
+Lordbrega Hi. I only have an old video in which I show what I did byt not exactly how I did it. Plus it's bad quality and a bit embarrassing ;) You're gonna need two pairs of rivets, a riveting tool if you want it to look nice, a hammer, an anvil of some sort (hard flat surface), a hole punch, a drill or an awl (I used my swiss army knife), a sharp knife and a piece of leather or some other material for your loop. What you do is you prepare your new loop by cutting it to the desired length and width, remove the original plastic belt loop by cutting it about 3/4" above the sheath's tube so that you have this flat piece of plastic to work with. Then you drill one or two holes in that flat piece of plastic and punch holes in your new pre-cut loop, matching those you made in the sheath. Then you simply rivet everything together. Have fun :)

Love them Sami puukko. 5 Martiini, 1 Kellam, 1 Ahti, 2 Wood Jewel, 1 Tops, 2 Condor, 2 Enzo Brisa, 1 folder from Cold Steel(Finnwolf), 1 Morakniv classic, of which I have 11 of & 2 Hultafors, but I don't consider them puukkos or the other scandi grind knives that I have.
@agagagagagyo6 жыл бұрын
Cody Lundin carried that ahti on a couple episodes of dual survival which is strange because I'd think he would insist that a knife he carried could at least strike a ferro rod.

13:05 - jestem ciekaw czym to ostrzysz.
@SimonsDiscoveries9 жыл бұрын
+Krul Mateusz Kamieniem Taidea.
@Mateo-vx5hx9 жыл бұрын
Chyba on kamień zetrze. Diamentów żadnych nie masz nie?
@SimonsDiscoveries9 жыл бұрын
Krul Mateusz Mam ale wolę na kamieniu. Kamień się też ściera. To normalne.
@Mateo-vx5hx9 жыл бұрын
@SimonsDiscoveries9 жыл бұрын
+Krul Mateusz Zależy jaki ma kamień. Gradacja, firma... wszystko ma znaczenie. No i co chcesz osiągnąć.

Kamil Ilczuk Wiem. One mają bardzo ostry kąt od nowości. Zaokrąglij go trochę.

A więc Co myślisz o nożach wood jewel a przede wszystkim o Puukko Wood Jewel Carving knife 105 . Pozdrawiam
@SimonsDiscoveries8 жыл бұрын

Say Heah Simon, I guess I've been Westernized, I do have a few Traditional Scandinavian like my Stromeng Threesome my KS-9, 5 and the Bhuku LiL STAK, I also have some Mora's and my Fav's is the Forest Exclusive #277 a Handmade that looks similar to the Classic #1 But more slender with Hardwood and brass hardware, it's also a laminated blade and the tang goes all the way through. I also have a Cold Steel SISU that's a copy of the Tapio Wirkkala Puukku very similar and also handmade but with modern material and it too has a San Mai 3 laminated blade, It's a true beauty. I have a very interesting knife that was made from the definition of Mors Kochanski version of a knife in his book that is similar to a Mora signature blade but alot more robust and a full tang, It's my Rod Garcia Skookum Bush Tool. But recently I got a few Mora's, the 510, and the Classic #1, and the Mora 2000, I also got the Hatchet and to complete that Trio I got the Bacho Laplander, It's my Lite Trio. But that Skookum Bush Tool I had more of a curved belly made, so it's a 4" blade, but it's great carver now. I like to Scout new area's out and often carry a trio, a knife, saw and hatchet, But the Mora's are so lite that I just incorporate them as my neck knives. Nice to see you again, and again Thanx for sharing

+paulie 4x Hello. That sounds like an impressive collection. I always wanted to try out one of those Bush Tools made to Mors' specifications but I guess I just have too many hobbies to be able to afford it all :)
@paulie4x18 жыл бұрын
Thank You Simon, Yes knives are my hobby and passion, I really like them, I have knives made by a few companies too, Some of my Fav's are my Busse Combat, because of the INFI Steel, Then my Swamp Rat's because of the SR101 which is a 52100 Tempered by Busse Technology, I also like my Bark River's in A-2, But the 3V's I makes awesome knives. I also got almost a complete line of Becker's because I really loved my Cold Steel CarbonV's, but they also make a good knives in their San Mai 3, also their exploring using other steel's. I also lik E the 5160 for my real hard use knives so I have a few O.K.C's especially the Gen2 SP's. I love going out for Afternoon Delight ' s which for me it's a hot cup of coffee on the open fire and a baked potato, I like it much better than going to Micky Dee's for coffee and fries, It was nice talking to you again, We should do this again, Dovidzania Simon.

@SimonsDiscoveries9 жыл бұрын
To raczej wysoka zawartość chromu w, nawet miękkich, nierdzewkach sprawia problemy.
