Once I was upgraded to first class because the plane was crowded and I missed the experience as I slept for the entire flight. I didn’t even eat. 😢 It was so long ago, I barely remember.

Got upgraded to business once by accident on BA from New York to London, best flight ever. That said, every time I’ve flown Emirates in economy beats most flights on any other airline. They really go the extra mile, even in the cheap seats.

I used to work for a travel agency and sometimes they sent us some opportunities to fly business or 1st class for a discounted price but I thought It was super expensive just for a flight. Now I understand that it's more like an experience than just getting somewhere

I do quite well but I dont like paying triple or quadruple for a ticket. I only upgrade if I'm using air miles or if sometimes to business class if the the price is on offer. I've never paid for 1st class outright what a waste of money. Maybe if I made millions yearly from assets ... but I dont so I cant justify basically spend a fortune for what you can put towards upgrading to a much better hotel or airbnb
