I did something similar but not nearly as industrious as yourself. I just used a couple sink sponge holders the already had suction cups and put a few ferns in those. Love the plants in my aquarium and have started living plants growing out of my aquarium! Great project

Love your fish.....they look all healthy! Can i ask what temperature do you keep your tank? I notice you have some clown loaches. I have 6 in my 125 gallon but now one of them are showing the first signs of ICH. I keep mine at 79°F but maybe my temperature should be higher. What do you think?

Dwarf pond lettuce removes a lot of nitrates and floats well; trim roots when they get too long.

A school of 17 tiger barbs, a pair of tinfoil barb, a pair of dwarf gourami, red tailed sharks

SG Bearded Aquarist I am from singapore.i breed tiger barbs last year with my Father as I was only 13 and breeding them is not much of trouble look out for ph 7 and below and reduce the temp slowly to 75 ff . When you see a fish have a red nose and nodding to another fish remember them and place them in a tank with a sponge filter and marble floor I personally find the mesh method unsafe for the fish.the male will nudge the female and the eggs will fall into the gaps than remove the parents and off all lights but putting a black background worked better for me.oh also remember to treat the eggs with anti fungus

awesome video! subbed, and will follow.. love the turtle, jaja love desde Costa Rica :) maybe the potos could grow in a basket, where it could have lots of roots, but some extra bits that get too long can get eaten by Tom and the other fish.

Cool vedio bro, I like the setup its perfect. You have common algae eater which grows too large, when they mature they will never eat algae instead they consume fish food, algae eaters are poop machines.

Hey Bearded, why don't you just get a canister filter, they're not expensive these days and we have access to tons of brands, especially at Nanyang. With your bio load bring what it is, it might just be a more prudent move?
@little_bee_007 Жыл бұрын
canister is for chemical filteration i guess.........they plants are for biological filteration.....there is a big difference

@deraldrichards92764 жыл бұрын
Great job. Pothos is poisonous to dogs and cats. You might want to Google this to confirm. I think I might do this for my sister tank with a caution to keep the pothos trimmed because she has several cats. Thanks.

i have over 60 feet of pothos with the root system in my 55 gallon tank, the amount of nitrate removal is minimal. There is no way in Heaven or on Earth that the small amount of plants in this video will remove any significant nitrate, unless you have a grow light on the plant 24-7. thanks for the video though

@SGBeardedAquarist5 жыл бұрын
Everything in the video is the point. I just chose the best part of it as the title. I've built a bond with my subscribers and the bla bla bla is how I did it and how I continue to update them. This channel is about many things not just how to. In every such video about 5-10% of people don't like it and thats fine. There is nothing to be more direct because the end of my video is the video, not any 1 thing in the video.
