I know this is kinda random, but I just wanted to share. I’ve had anxiety for a long time, and these videos always helped me a lot! But I always felt like they only helped temporarily, not in my everyday life. The reason I'm sharing this is because I’ve made such big progress in the last few weeks after reading an ebook: Overcoming Anxiety, written by Felice Weninger. I feel like an ad for it lol, but I’m honestly just surprised that I am able to feel good again after literally trying sooo many things. So yea, just wanted to share in case someone else fights with anxiety a lot. You are not alone ❤
@PeaceMeBish2 ай бұрын
Beating the anxiety bug feels SO good! Especially when it’s been a lifelong/long-term struggle. Congratulations! (Also, be gentle with yourself if you backslide. It happens, but it’s just a whole lot less intense and easier to deal with/overcome, in my experience.)

That was a fun read. I need to start practicing mindful mornings. During summer months I'm so focused on garden and managing life (that includes caring for elderly parent) that by time I close the kitchen after dinner I'm almost too exhausted to get to bed. I love to write but the current status of my mind doesn't work well with the creative element. Love your calming presence in my life. Thank you.

I’m so jealous of you! If I don’t get up and get moving with something that takes a lot of mental or physical energy within 20 minutes of waking up I find myself being so exhausted. I want to go back to sleep because I didn’t shake off the tiredness. This doesn’t have to do with not sleeping enough either. I have no trouble sleeping, I just find myself being excessively tired if I don’t get moving like… You snuggled up reading a book on the couch in this video? With the cool morning air and that cozy couch… I’d be out like a light.

I think all of us need to have time alone. If one doesn't get that as kid then it is something that can be learned later on. I grew up in an extended family. These were busy people and the supervision came "from a distance" and I think I had many hours where I was left to my own devices.I learned how to entertain myself which somehow lead me to be creative. Hannah, as social as she may be actually enjoys her own company and bless her for sharing those times in videos. Nice to go on adventures and share time with friends but it is so important to learn how to be your own best company.

The other day I had the tiniest little mouse in my camper. I’ve never had that before; they kind of scare me. I knew I needed to catch it but was not sure how to. I finally got it to go into my wash bin, lol and let it go out by the trees down the road. The whole time I kept asking, “What would Hanna do?” Lol love your videos-dress is beautiful! Mouse is safe. That was my morning routine.

So interesting to hear about your midday scaries and empty mind in the mornings! I’m the opposite, I wake up with my mind on a hundred things and need to journal to dump it all out, set intentions and that way I’ll have a clear mind during the day. A morning routine sounds super important for both, I unfortunately don’t wake up early enough to take it slow lol. Congrats on the new apt and the new dresses 💕

Literally had a dream last night that I was in my very own cottage/cabin. Had just moved in and was unpacking stuff and just relaxing, fire was crackling away. Was having a good old Hannah of a time! Windows everywhere and no curtains up yet so all I could see outside was snowy hills and the occasional animal. Then the neighbours came over for dinner. 😂 It was pure heaven/bliss. Can’t wait until that dream becomes a reality!

for anyone relating to that book thing, getting back into reading was hard for me because I didn't have a good idea of what I LIKED, and all I had for reference was the kinds of books I read as a kid, like fantasy and historical fiction and stuff. So when I first started trying to read again, I went back to those genres and they were not hitting. Slowly I started building up an idea of what I'm interested in NOW as an adult, like philosophy and biographies and a lot more non fiction. Just finished the We-Brave New World-1984 triad and I was honestly shocked at how easy it's gotten to fall right back into reading, like when I was kid. It doesn't work as well when you're forcing yourself to read things your brain just isn't clicking with anymore.

One tactic I've used to get out of a reading slump is to read children's fantasy books. They're usually more fantastical with less of the hard "real world" problems and consequences of literature targeted for adults. Howls moving castle is a great gentle fantasy with low stakes. I also thoroughly enjoyed the house in the cerulean sea which is an adult novel but feels very childlike and encourages you to deepen your own emotional understanding of yourself
