Chrissy, first of all I love rhe mess under the bed 😊, you're human. I know yall have things to complete but until it gets done yall have a functional layout that yall can travel and enjoy the space as is. Kitchen, bed, yall can cook. Yall will be able to figure out what is needed and where you want it. Nice job. I would love for Bill to video finished product. Safe and Happy travels. GOD BLESS

I'm building a Murphy bed in my conversion right now. I spent hours walking around Home Depot trying to figure out what to do for the legs. Great idea! I'm heading back there today now to the plumbing section.

Improved Channels at night is due to the ionosphere changing at night. It's the reason AM radio stations have to reduce power at certain times otherwise they broadcast for miles outside of their regulated ranges.

A nice, clean build (well, except for under the bed! 😂). They will never be finished but that’s the beauty of choosing a cargo trailer. It becomes whatever they want. The smooth, sleek cabinetry really has an upscale look.

What I would love to see in these videos is what their weight ends up being, plus what weight in on each side and the percent tongue weight
@billanddeb
@billanddeb 10 ай бұрын
Very few get the weight on each side. Some do know the total weight and tongue weight. When they do, we share the info in the video. We'll have a whole new batch of walk thrus from the upcoming Tiny House Adventures Rendezvous in October. We will make an effort to get those #s with the new batch. Just curious, what are the #s on your build?

@@billanddeb , I built a 6x12 toy hauler and every time I make a change or load bike(s) differently I get measurements. I learned that it was easy to have too much tongue weight because I needed the room for the bike(s) forcing me to build out the front. When the bikes are loaded they have to be loaded staggered because of the width and the heavier one is set to where the ramp door just clears the rear fender. I also measured the suspension sag on the truck during this process. 1st round with one bike loaded as far forward as possible. 2420 lbs with 20% tongue weight. Front of truck raised 3/8 inch. Rear sagged 7/8 inch Second round with touring bike loaded where rear tour pack was a couple inches from the ramp door. 2770 lbs with 14% tongue weight. Suspension sag about the same. 3rd round with touring bike I shifted a couple items rearward same total of 2770 but now 13% tongue weight. 4th round with touring bike I carried a few extra items and had 2840 lbs and 14.4% tongue weight. For the 5th round I reconfigured the trailer to be able to carry two smaller bikes staggered. I had the 100 lb heavier bike in front and ha 2840lbs total with 14.6% tongue weight. For the sixth round I had the same two bikes but added a fridge and microwave along with some more camping items and had a total weight of 3020 lbs and 15.8% tongue weight. For the seventh round I swapped the motorcycles positions and had a total of 3010 lbs and 13.9 % tongue weight. My build doesn’t really have weight down one side like some of the builds you have shown so my weight on each wheel is pretty even. The bikes have about 100 lb difference, but the weight is not at the sides. It is halfway between the center of the trailer and the wall. I have seen homebuilt campers in parks where they had way too much weight behind the axle which is dangerous.

trailervalet.com/shop/jxs-side-mount-trailer-jack/ Don't know where they got theirs, but this is what I found with a little internet surfing. They'd work on a 7 wide as long as your frame is 2×4 tubing. The main frame runs down each side right on the edge on a 7 wide.

Dang. If I reach the point where I can't hand crank the tongue jack or bend over to do the stabilizers, it is probably time to hit the gym or just stay home and putter in the "raised" garden.

I have a newbie question. Why are trailer manufacturers not using the lighter composite materials that do not delaminate ? As in side walls and roof to keep the weight down and add more strength .

@@ogremgtow990 well, as far as strength goes, a standard production cargo trailer is about as strong as it gets. As far as saving weight goes, and still be strong,,,,,several cargo trailer manufacturers offer all aluminum versions. I can't speak for the RV industry.
