I thought you need to be able to pull from the sides to keep the boat stable with during the llift. I have not tried pulling directly from the bow. It worked for me so if it aint broke I did not try and fix it. Best of luck

That's pretty cool - might have to look at something similar for my camper trailer!!! Out of interest, why did you need the eyebolts.....wouldn't it have worked if you had just connected the winch rope to the front of the boat only and left out the 2 x eyebolts?? Interested to know if you have tried loading it without using the eyebolts?

My problems have been solved trying to haul a boat and travel trailer!

The ropes and ring up front of the boat was there an exact measurement for this ? The ropes on each corner of the stern how did you work out that measurement, did you stand the tinny on its stern then to top of your rack ? It' really works good and inexpensive, cheers Shane

Been trying to solve this problem for two years. Loading a boat on the roof of the truck proved more difficult than this video suggests. Inflating and deflating an inflatable boat, hauled in the bed of the truck, was a nuisance. Finally decided to separate camping trips from boat fishing trips. While camping, I fish from the shore.

Awesome. About to rig mine up. I have the same tinnie. Do you think the eyelets on the gunnels will be the same if the roof rack is higher? Did you measure and check the balance point before putting them on?

hey great job. wondering where you mount the winch? doesn't the cable rub on the hood and windshield if mounted on the front bumper?
@TimKFishing8 жыл бұрын
+Tyler Stephens It is mounted on the front of the trailer drawbar

Nice work. How long is your trailer? I'm looking to box trailer mount a 3.5 nomad but I am concerned about the nose hitting the back of the vehicle once the vehicle is pivoting. Have you had any issues?
@TimKFishing9 жыл бұрын
Ryan Marsh the trailer is about 3.5 metres. there is a lot of drawbar in front

@@TimKFishing hey mate do you reckon this would work if the boat was on a boat trailer? So you would have the boat and trailer upside down on top of the camper

Thanks. I like it. What the hell happened to the side of your tinny. LOL. Is a 2 way ratchet winch worthwhile/possible, could the tinny get away on the down load if one lost their grip on the hand winch..
