My adhd brain just found it's newest obsession lol I haven't painted in a while but the cooler weather and fall colors has me feeling inspired to pick it up again. I absolutely loved this video and think I'm going to give watercolor pencils a try.

I love using water color pencils. However I just usually use them dry for some reason. They just put down awesome color. Also, once wetted they usually go WAY darker than you think.

I’m getting used to watercolour pencils. I never liked them when I was younger but since I prefer pencils to any other medium, I decided to try them again. I often use them to add extra colour to paint. I just got some Derwent graphitint pencils and they are great when you add water!

With watercolor pencils, can you sketch on the road and wait until home to render with water? Is there a time span when it’s too late to add water

Yes you can add later it’s a totally dry medium they feel like regular colored pencils. The only reason you may not want to do all the wet at the end is because like Emma explained the ultimate color when wet especially when layered colors may not be the color you expected so you don’t normally want to do a whole drawing and then wet. But if you just want to sketch in the car and add water later as far as time limit you’re fine there isn’t a time limit “dryness” wise.

Hello Emma, I am a big fan of your videos. Always look forward to them. I hope you continue that for years to come. Have a question for you: I am not afraid of a blank page, but have a fear of starting to paint after making a sketch. Am afraid of using the wrong colors so that the drawing fails completely. How do I handle this? I have several sketches ready to be painted, also the paint is ready but I am afraid to start. Help!!! Greetings from Nicoline, Germany.
