Every word, every answer absolute gold, pure gold. Absolutely loved the end part where he was talking about time would love to have something similar in my life as well. However at 10:00 where he said men have it easy and its 95% of mother's responsibility is somewhere lacking a deeper thought and understanding, maybe because he never thought about it in a way of having kids him self. I'll just tell you one line sir, " A mother might carry the weight of a baby for 9 months in her womb but a father carries the weight of the baby on his shoulder for his entire life. " Not necessarily a parent has to think of being dependent on the kid for his old age, as a matter of fact, if you do choose to have a baby, they owe you nothing but you owe them everything, its a tough choice but it is the way it is. Thankyou.

All good thinking by the person who was answering the question. The only place where he was shallow was where he said people expecting children to take care of them, expecting one person taking care of another person is not logical etc., there he went western way with no emotions and shallow thinking. Though I agree these days there are children who do not take care of their parents.

Kids are not Investments.. they are your contribution to a civilised society...if all nice youngsters think of not having a kid , I can imagine where the society will lead...we owe that much to our society
@PrashanthM90 Жыл бұрын
That's a nice thought. Knowingly or unknowingly, we benefit in so many ways from society. Having children can be seen as a way of giving back to society when we are too old to do so. Instead of being selfish and thinking my children should take care of me when I'm incapable, we should raise decent human beings who add value to the society when we no longer can.
@modellocomotiveworks2215 Жыл бұрын
There are 1000 other ways to contribute. Not just to produce kids randomly There are millions of children wandering on the roads, they need a good lifestyle, education ,care , love. Give it to them and apart from that no problem in giving birth to one child if it is not a result of lust, greed or fear of old age.

Makes me wonder if FIRE is just a fear induced way of leading a life, where most of the times you will be defensive. Another approach could be choosing to embrace the chaos of life and working with it. FI (financial independence) is important but RE (retire early) may be a bad place to be in.
