I know this is a year after you posted this but you might be able to use this advice to help someone else. It's easier to use a granny stripe pattern for your first blanket for humans or babies (read: alien freeloading leaches)

What size hook did you use in this video? Also, what is chucky yarn called in the store? I'm thinking it goes by weight. What is the yarn made out of that you are working with? Your video is great. I think I'm going to try to crochet. I have always wanted to give it a go.
@wingingit38335 жыл бұрын
Do you leave it as is when you come to end of your length? Or do you add a final row in a different stitch? What about edging? I’m very new to crochet but this looked simple. I just want to understand how to “finalize” the project.
@BlossomCrochet5 жыл бұрын
Hi Suzanne, for your final row, you'll beed to do one row of UK double crochet all the way along (no chain 1) As for borders, you can add anything that you like the look of, my border playlist can be found here: kzbin.info/aero/PLqlBWJOmTEX1ESk4wwLFq45CPctOKj6wR

I am getting ready to start my next afghan. I've always just made granny/solid granny, mainly because I know my sides will be automatically straight with those. But for my next afghan, I would love to make this one. I have my colors all picked out, and for 2 weeks have been looking at different patterns, and have decided on this one!! I am still nervous about the edges tho. Is it fairly simple to always end up with a straight edge on it? I will use stitch markers every so many stitches across, to help with the stitch count. Thank u

@Danielle333844 жыл бұрын
I’ve seen several different tutorials on this stitch but it seems even though the stitch is the same, the tutorials are different. For example even though they all say to chain an even number, some skip a different amount at the beginning, or some people chain two instead of one at the beginning of the rows. I just don’t understand why it’s different for the same stitch.
