Ive been crocheting this stitch for years and I never knew the name of it. Im 63 & my grandmother taught me to crochet & knit when I was 6 & how to pattern read when I was 10 I cant knit to save my life as crocheting was always my favorite. Thru the years I swore Id find the names of alit of my favorite pattern stitches & waalaa you have taught me the name of my "go to" stitch. This finally helped me! I was really struggling with other tutorials beginning the moss stitch into the chain. I kept either skipping tok many or not enough stitches, and the first row of moss stitches would come out too loose making figukng out where 3+ go hard. Having a foundations of aingle crochets that im working the first row of moss stitch jnto helped SO MUCH. Thank you!! Plus the bunny ears and pants helped.

I LOVE your "tips"! I am a total beginner, so I am learning to recognize where to place stitches. Rabbit ears and pants are PERFECT for me!!! Please make more tutorials with different types of stitches! I learn so easily from your simple and practical explanations. I made a small cloth to test my moss stitch abilities and it looks pretty good! I am going to make a regular straight scarf next. I do wish I knew how to make the edges look more finished, but did figure out to add a full row of single crochet to the bottom end to at least make the ends look nice and finished.

Yes the "Pants" term is a game changer. I had tried this stitch in the past and kept putting my sc in the wrong spot. I gave this stitch another try because I love the look and with the pants I'm off to a good start on my blue and yellow blanket. It is a simple stitch with pretty results. It will look great with color changes and I like that it works good for a boy or girl blanket. This is a keeper now that i can do it properly. Thank you!!
