I just bought one for 80.00 Work great, one of the blades is nicked but it works. I'm going to restore it. Basically clean and paint it and replace the bearings. Its the same exact model as yours. Has same label (Homecraft).

I guess there's no more excuses to the wife about those kitchen cabinets now. I think you just put yourself to work my friend! It looks like your intending on using pine or hard wood for them. If it's hardwood, you're going to have a lighter wallet. LOL! Good job on this jointer project and thanks for allowing us to watch!

I still have one more excuse Bain! I'm tearing down and cleaning up a 12" planer as I type...lol. I'm also shooting clips of it to post. I haven't decided yet what I'm going to use. The cabinets will be paint grade- so that should save a few bucks. Take care, G.

An old video for sure, but just what I was looking for. I just came into possession of a Delta Rockwell No. 37-110. It appears to be the same model, including stand. The plastic port that you use, where did you get it? What is it called?
@ghostses
@ghostses Жыл бұрын
Timothy, I think it would be called a take off port. The one I used came out of kit similar to this: www.harborfreight.com/dust-collector-accessory-kit-57562.html If you only need the one fitting, you might look at Woodcraft: www.woodcraft.com/products/4-universal-fitting Or search elsewhere. Hope this helps. Good luck and take care, G.

Nice man! I just bought same one but mine has black Rockwell stickers. Do you know if you can put a helical cutter on this? It would be amazing!

Thanks! I don't know if anyone makes a helical cutter for this, but I agree- it would be amazing! Take care, G.

Dude, did you film this in my basement? Not only do I have the same jointer, I also have a planer like the one I see in the background. This joiner is an antique, cira 1955.

That is great. Was the shaking - actually the camera shaking or electro-magnetic interference from the motor getting to the camera?
@ghostses
@ghostses 10 жыл бұрын
Thanks Joesph, it was the camera on the tripod shaking. I built a temporary workshop and used shipping pallets covered with sheets of OSB for the flooring. The structure is one of the Harbor Freight 10x15 portable garages. It's been there a few years so the floor is getting spongy here and there. It's hard for me to film in there because the camera shakes when I walk around. Thanks for the post and good luck, G.

I just noticed around the 2:34 mark, theres a knob or something in the bottom left corner.. seems to be moving while you're making passes.. what's that about? is that just the "free wheel" on the adjustment knob down there? just wondering.
@ghostses

Yes, that's the handle on the crank spinning around. G.

I'm working on putting dust collection on the same jointer. From the design, it seems like there would be significant leakage at the base and also through the two tables (mine are "hollow" and airflow would go through it). Is this an issue at all? Maybe your collector is powerful enough to compensate?
@ghostses
@ghostses 2 жыл бұрын
It's not an issue for me Andrew. It works great for my setup. Adjust for your setup as needed. Do as little as possible for the results you require. Good luck, G.

Cee, the port I used came out of this kit: www.harborfreight.com/dust-collector-accessory-kit-57562.html If you don't need the full kit, this port should be the same: www.rockler.com/dust-right-combo-port?country=US&sid=V91040&promo=shopping&PL&gclid=CjwKCAjwjtOTBhAvEiwASG4bCBB391m0bKJM7htzJy6z2WZaLcWK_pXpNAcPVSzChmjBYlUpNTSvjxoC2r0QAvD_BwE hope this helps.
