I clean my tire after every run with simple green . The tire compound loves the simple green. The tires get better after every cleaning.

This is an older way to soften tires .. when I was racing I door 1/10 scale buggy and truck in Charlotte NC we soaked them after every race on a home made wheel / tire turner .. That was back in 2008/9 .. fun times racing .. miss those days ..

Only downside to the sticky I feel here in Arkansas at a comp is all the drive around before a rock, or obstacle. More sticky I feel likes its just going to pickup more dirt, dust, or whatever before you even get to the rock and time you get to the main feature the tread is going to be loaded with debris. Maybe not though, that'd be great haha. If you are apart of north central arkansas crawlers, you should come out to the spillway with us sometime. We have someone out there most sundays, this past was around 20 people, fun stuff man.

I have been using Simple Green for years ...Straight from the bottle spray and clean , let set 5 to 10 minutes and wash off ....I do this to new and old. If I am going out and have mounted tires, I just spray on let sit wipe off with damp towel on my way...

Did not know you had this channel I been in to the rc since 13. I still have two of mine since I was 16 one is a Tamiya bruiser I still run. Updated but nothing like all the newer rc crawlers I do own a axial not newer but will probably go with the rc4wd yota.

On any fast car I put together, I will use simple green to clean the wheel, and the mould release compound off the bead of the tire before I glue it on(they will stay glued at 70-80mph that way. ) I never did leave simple green on for any amount of time, just clean them off , and let them dry. But I'm also the guy who goes 4-5 miles on an outing, so I usually go with g8 compound

Proline tires have a compound that's mixed into the rubber. Using simple green or any other solvent is going to leach that compound out eventually. And then you will have an even more dryer and harder tire in the long run. It might help right after the application on new tires but its definitely shortening the life of those tires the more you do it.

No I did not, I did crawl with them and they were sticky to start. But they soon picked up dirt lol, then all stickiness gone...But after washing them off after the comp the stickiness came back!

This doesn't suprise me, considering dust will cut down on the stickiness of the compound. I used to use simple green as a cleaner, degrease for small engine carburetors and it would actually strip the protective coating on the body of the carburetor, causing issues beyond repair. Even diluted, it would damage the coating. I switched to Simply awesome from the dollar store. I mix it with dish detergent and spray my RC vehicles down with it, let sit for about 10 minutes and the dust and dirt just fall off it. After drying, I spray it down with silicone spray.
