Hey Ashley! I've been watching your videos forever! By which I mean since before you hit 25k subscribers! Anyways, one of the coolest things to see throughout your channel is how you've really grown into your own teaching style. You're basically a fashion teacher, helping people understand how to blend pieces and how to use their current wardrobes and have fun! While I had already figured out parts of my style, you have helped me so much in learning how to put words to rules I didn't understand. You've developed my vocabulary and the way I talk about clothes. What's super cool is that you definitely are a teacher because you address how others may be in different parts of their fashion and styling journeys! Does that make sense? I hope it does because it's a major compliment. For example: flare jeans! I have always felt awkward if I wore them with converse and always did a pointed heeled western-ish boot or sock boot. I've learned so much from you and this was a really really great video! (I've actually also never commented on a video before, so that's a first...which also reminds me that I had never made a youtube acct to subscribe to people until I found your balayage video from way back! Lol I think you mean muscular legs I don’t have calves and thigh high boots won’t stay up but I did finally find one on amazon that fit the thigh but still a TAD loose in the ankle and calf but I’m hanging in there. P.s. I’ve gotten called an ostrich and baseball bats as legs lol and I workout ughhh!!!

I just saw the wide legged tall boot in the high end store and thought “how would I wear these with skinny legs?” Your best look is also mine...black on black but I love a skirt now and then. As a brunette I just bought my first pair of light brown booties. I WILL figure it out. It’s just hard when skinny black jeans/leggings work with black boots everywhere. You were really right when you had the RED X on the jeans stuffed into the high boots. Good work.

Loved the idea of combat boots with a dress. I know it’s very 90s, but I’m starting a job in which I can’t wear heels, yet need to look ‘ professional & polished’. I love boots! The are the only type of shoes I keep unless they completely break! Tall , short, stilletto, square, riding, flat.... I love them all!

I liked your video, it was not too much talking and plenty to see without it being too long. However, as a child of the 60's I have to challenge the 'only wear boots with light colours'....in actual fact dark/mid denim slim turn ups and Chanel style jacket and quilted chain bag with black white or even red t-shirt looks so edgy and as a 56 year old, even I could get away with it....think monochrome....even a polka dot blouse in black and white looks fabulous, it's just about offset and balance. As when you wear oversized tops you offset with tighter trousers and vice versa. I love white boots....also take a look at snakeskin they can really add a real punch to an outfit....great video though, very informative x
