Simple, Homemade (Delicious) Guacamole

This excellent guacamole recipe comes from Lukas Volger's latest cookbook, Snacks for Dinner. It is a simple recipe with only a few ingredients, but I think its method distinguishes it from other guacamole recipes. It's truly the best guacamole I've ever made.
As I was making the guacamole,, I thought it would be a good opportunity to highlight some chopping techniques and best practices. In this video you'll find demos on:
1. How to chop an onion (when you care about its appearance).
2. How to safely pit an avocado.
3. How to mince cilantro (stems and all).
4. How to cut a lime (the pretty way).

This looks wonderful and easy. Love the tips for cutting the onion and lime. Avocado cutting and prep look gorgeous. There's something about have only video and labels without dialogue that makes it even more enjoyable -- like I was right there, ready to taste. Love it!

Interesting. We use lemon juice, add diced tomatoes and little, if any cilantro. I’ll try it with lime. Thanks. I miss seeing your wonderful videos.

Very nice & pretty green! (I always mashed up avocados with red salsa and while it tasted okay to me, it never looked appealing.) This looks authentic and appealing too!

My tip is to make pico de gallo (aka salsa mexicana) and just portion it into your mashed avocado to taste. (pretty similar to this except it would also have tomato, of course)
