Works perfectly for a fiat panda too - except the water pipe system is attached to the cowl and there are plastic clips underneath to keep the cowl tight against the windscreen - otherwise it's exactly the same. Brilliant, thanks, that's saved me a huge garage bill!

Excellent video, thank you. I just fixed the linkages on my Fiat Punto 2002 model. The linkage broke around Xmas 2015 so I used a tie-wrap as a temporary measure. The tie-wrap lasted 5 months! There was a slight variation on my Punto; there were some rubber straps at either end of the scuttle panel but they unclipped after some 'persuasion'. I do very little DIY on my car and the job took me 1 hr 30 mins - as a guide for others (I took my time)!. Although I do have some mechanical skills. Once again, many thanks.

Great video as always. We'll described and very easy to follow even a layman's could follow this repair. Purchased the same parts from said website. So easy to fit following the great instructions in the pack. Seems the previous mechanic did the same weld-on washer trick. Took my longer to grind them off then it did to fit the linkages. Really good step by step. I somehow ended up with the passenger wiper stub lower than it was and so couldn't bolt on the wiper! Yes the plastic cover removal is the most difficult stage.

Hi Craig's , nice video. I fixed the linkage wiper just for a while with elastic and plastic band. I am waiting clips steel to fix it better. I have Fiat Punto 1.2 16V ELX Speedgear CVT. Two weeks ago the repair still work. ...just an option to fix the front wiper linkage when the driver doesen't have tools in the boot. I have video also.

My exact situation now, still awaiting for the replacement to come..This failure could've easily avoided if the ball joints were positioned the other way around, but why Fiat didn't do this is beyond me.

I recommend don't put part on paintwork, it could damage on paint.

Googling this problem for my daughters Fiat Panda and the ridiculous prices quoted for a full linkage, I found Craig's solution (thanks for the easy description). I also found another solution here: www.askthemechanic.co.uk/shop/windscreen-wiper-linkage-repair-kits/1-windsreen-wiper-linkage-repair-clip-0722301139585.html. While I haven't fixed the problem, I will be going for the cheaper solution first.
