Laquinta Rogers hi by any chance u know the answer to this question ur the most recent one I seen but it is Pam opened a bank account with $200 deposit the account had a simple interest rate of 4.6%her most recent bank statement showed a balance of $ 328.80 if she made no deposits or withdrawals how long ago was that account opened I tried and got 14 but I don’t think I’m right 😬☹️

What do you do if the time (t) is not in years? Do you just write it as a decimal of whole and partial years? I got a question where it wanted me to figure out the interest rate for periods of time such as 17 weeks, or 7 months.

Just divide by 12 for months or 52 for weeks. Thus 7 months = 7/12 years and 17 weeks = 17/52 years.
