NO YOU NOT !!!! YOU HAVE IT ALREADY. YOU just don’t know it yet. Take on 1 rod 1 jig and 2-3 maybe 4 deferent trailers so you can only throw that jig all day you will know by the end of the day. By 1 jig I mean 1 color and type bring 2-3 like a 3/8 , 1/2 , 5/8 , 3/4 oz you know if you have to go heavy or light where you fish and bring 2 of each weight incase you brake off you might miss a Buch but then you’re going to stick 1 or 2 and let them tell you what to do and repeat it. You can do it brother it’s in every fishermen you just have to let it come out. I learned that in 92 shaking fish off for 3 days straight like a dummy in grass thinking I was hanging in the grass and a old trolled over and what are you doing shaking them fish off like that. I didn’t know what to say he said hay son do what I tell you. Yes sr it got to the “GRASS” I went to shake he said no son rip his face off I said. I did and caught a 12.6 and have not looked back.

What helped me a lot is the way i drag it. I used to pull on the jig by moving my rod but when i started using just the reel to drag it, got like 10X more bites. Right after it lands in the water, let it sit for 10 seconds. Then quarter turns of the reel. Moves the jig 2-3 feet and let it sit after the feel 6-9 seconds. An old timer told me about letting it sit and it made all the difference.

I need to go to fishing school. I LOVE fishing or in my case, sitting somewhere holding a pole, but can’t catch a cold running around naked in a blizzard. Grandpa NEVER came home empty. Family of 16 in Depression those fish were important. After supper they got turned loose to hunt/trap/fish for tomorrow's supper. He'd set the hook and hand me his pole to reel in and was already casting another pole. Didn't get the "freezer full of meat" gene i guess... cousin did...S.O.B...😂

My area got soft swampy bottom how do I keep the jig from getting covered in shit
@thebassuniversityАй бұрын
Lighter weight might not get buried down in the defecation. Maybe try 1/4oz or 3/8oz with a meaty trailer. Also snapping it up off the bottom or hopping it might help clean the doodoo off (and the fecal cloud might attract some attention) Check out this whole class at bassu.tv/bass-fishing-video/always-fish-a-ball-head-jig-gerald-swindle you might also want to check out bassu.tv/bass-fishing-video/the-right-jig-for-the-job-john-crews and bassu.tv/bass-fishing-video/micro-jig-fishing-iaconelli
