SIMPLE JOURNAL IDEAS FOR TODDLERS AND PRESCHOOLERS

Have you wanted to incorporate journal time into your home daycare/ preschool classroom? In this video I will show you tips and tricks for simple fun fine motor journals for toddler and preschool aged children. Don’t be afraid to start because they are just scribbling! Part of the process is to get your kids to love writing. It’s an opportunity to teach the basics, glueing, cutting with scissors, and using variables familiar materials in the classroom. These fine motor journals help with hand eye coordination, one to one correspondence, colour sorting, letter recognition, shapes, patterns and so much more! It’s also a great way to track their progress and perfect for portfolios!

It’s been a long journey. I will be opening part time with my daughters help starting tomorrow. It will be another 6 weeks before I can lift 😩

@@agiesafitriI had just sent home the kiddos journals when a subscriber asked me about journal time. At this time of year, the kiddos are graduating and heading off to kindergarten. This fall I will have a very young group. 3 one year olds, one 2.5 year old and one 3 year old. We will most likely start journal time in January.

I love this I have . I want to try it but how do you keep it at one page and not try to draw through the whole journal in one sitting

I try to teach the children what the front of the book looks like and then the back…. What is upside down etc. next I have them practice opening it one page at a time. Plenty of times the children have skipped pages and that’s ok! It’s their journal and it’s all learning!

do you know of people who are owners of family day care who are in their 50's and 60's years old? I wonder what age is usually when family day care owner closes their family day care

I had several friends run their daycare past 60. I think it really depends on the person. Important questions to ask yourself. Am I physically able to do this job? Do I love what I do and still passionate? Thanks for watching!
