The amount of flowers I've pressed this spring alone with my daughters I am running out of books to press them so this is just perfect timing for me!
@iamdawt3 жыл бұрын
I bet they're beautiful, too! I laminated some of mine on just one side, the front, using matte laminate. They look even more beautiful, like they're behind a very fine veil or something, and gives them strength for using in your journaling, card- or sticker-making.

First off so very glad to see you Nic! I’ve missed your sharp wit and quirky “Nic-isms”!! As I am a junk journal maker I was drawn to this project .. envisioning card stock in place of the mat board and have each of the 5 pairs a cover for a signature! Using canvas straps as the binding! I don’t know! I’m like you .. gotta ponder it!!

Hi Nik, I’ve been drying flowers lately and this would be so nice to have. I’ve been thinking about what to make and you have the answer I believe. Thank you for showing this. I love your videos and you wonderful little books.

Seems like a manual that would come with an appliance or car instead of a step by step craft how to do book. I agree with you on the lay out of the book. I think this kind book without pictures of the actual product as you go along is harder to do accomplish the product as you try to follow the written instructions. But, I am sure if anyone could figure it out you would be the person to be able to accomplish the task. Thanks for showing us this video as flower season is faster approaching for a majority of us.

I purchased 2 classes a year ago, on sale, and I’ve not watched them because I’ve not purchased all the supplies so I wonder if they will expire at some point on teachable? BTW, are you going to do live, In person classes again soon? 👍🏻😬

Other than in the "Supply List", was there ever any further mention of how to use the waxed paper? Nik, did you tape your mixed media "blotting" paper into your book or leave it loose to be replaced after leaf pressing, as needed? Without the metal corners & scissors, do you think one's leaf pressing time could be reduced by popping this press book in a microwave? Love your videos!
@NiktheBooksmith3 жыл бұрын
hello! I went to check and it says to use the waxed paper to smooth out wrinkles or bubbles after gluing the paper to the cover boards.

@@alicethomson8542 Right? I appreciate that she took the time to flip through the book and explain how the directions were laid out, and that it lacked important photos to help put it together.
