For those looking to get ANY piercing done, DO NOT GO TO CLAIRES! I know her brother got them there, thats okay and his choice, but please do not ever get pierced with a piercing gun, most workers at claires are not even licensed piercers and any good piercer will tell you never get pierced with a gun. piercing with guns can cause inaccurate/poor placement of piercing, and higher risk of infections/rejection, popped/injured cartilage, they re-use the gun etc.. Always go to a reputable place with a CERTIFIED piercer, ESPECIALLY if its cartilage!

@@tls123___ i believe you do not need a formal qualification to be a piercer, but it'd be more safe and hygienic to get it pierced at a official piercing shop. piercing at home doesnt mean it'll get infected. not sure how you pierced it, but piercing cartilage with a gun can lead to shattering of cartilage, but i assume that didnt happen to you. i'd just recommend keeping your piercings really clean. and also about piercing at home; if you'd really want to you could always do it yk, it's your own responsibility, same goes for tattoos. you could give yourself your own stick and poke at home, but it's recommended to go to a tattoo parlor. doing it at home just gives a higher risk for infections and mistakes. wish you the best with the healing of your piercing tho and i hope it doesnt hurt :)
