She's definately a cool af kid. And I mean kid because she's my son's age. Soooo young and already has a n excellent grasp on the things that are impt. to live a peaceful, yet exciting, life. My son is so similar. Thank goodness!! ❤️. His father is a Master Builder but never thought to teach him construction. It's a handy thing to know!! I taught myself because I worked at my Dad's housing company but I'm not a MASTER builder. LOL. He taught him about cars.....which is okay. But to be able to do cool stuff to a house and save tons of money. That's awesome. He can't work on cars either but he knows who to call. Haha. I taught him about art and beauty of the outdoors. He wants a farmhouse with a barn and land "for so many activities 😆 (quote from Stepbrothers) smh. Sending love to ya sweet girl. I love your channel! Inspiring!!

Be super careful with Desperaux's enclosure being in such a sunny room. If direct sunlight hits the sides, it can act like a magnifying glass and cause the inside to drastically overheat, even with the mesh top. I've worked with animals for about 10 years and live in a state where it's cold 3/4 of the year and even my desert reptiles have to have the glass sides of their terrariums away from windows and direct sun. Don't want to be naggy, just want to try to help. I know how much you adore her
@noktuernal2 жыл бұрын
This is very interesting! I was more concerned over the little feetsies she put on the enclosure, since I don't think she attached them? I would be super nervous of one tipping and everything falling over.

Having two homes to care for is honestly perfect for Hannah. She does SO many projects and when she gets tired of those projects it will be nice for her to have something else to bounce over to and forget about the other projects so they don't overwhelm her. Like, she can bounce around to her hearts content and potentially not feel like she's living in the middle of her projects. Relatable, because it's hard to live where you work sometimes

Welcome to my Sunday! I so enjoy starting my weeks with you! Watching your videos used to be one of the first things I do on a Sunday morning, but nowadays, you’re a little lower on that list. Because you’re such an inspiration to me, I’ve begun rising earlier to work on some of my own projects. So far today, I have: - practiced learning to play my guitar - written part of a new song - dead-headed a hibiscus plant my neighbor gave me - made hibiscus tea from those flowers I removed - put my feet up - started watching your latest video - started making flour tortillas & chili verde for hubby Cheers to you and all you manage to do! 😊

Agreed! Summer had its punch card ready this year. Btw, I wonder if you know how edible Staghorn sumac is? 14:06 The red clumps can be turned into a tasty lemony drink: Pick several clusters of berries for use. You can slightly crush the berries to help aid in releasing their flavor. Soak the berry clusters in a pitcher of cold water over night or longer to enhance the flavor. Be sure to use cold water, as hot water can destroy the vitamin C content. Next, strain the tea through a coffee filter or cheese cloth to remove the berries and particles from the fruit so all you are left with is the tea. Enjoy! You can add sugar, honey or other additives of your choice to suit your palate.

Hannah inspired me in much the same ways when I found her channel around the time the world locked down. Be gentle with yourself. Some activities may seem minor enough that they should take only a few minutes, but if you allow your pace to slow down enough as you make new habits a priority and create your own systems and ways of doing what you set out to do, your schedule will reveal itself to you in the most unexpected, yet pleasing and peaceful ways. Trust me. The best ideas take awhile to marinate. Best wishes to you. Find your joy in the journey. 😊

You know what I love? That moment before she actually puts hands to a project where you can see her assess it like "I don't know what I'm doing" then that movement forward where you can see her say "well, let's do it anyway" and she figures it out. I remember being in my 20's and when I started feeling anxious about my life, a bad relationship, a job I hated, fear of trying something new, etc... I would make a big move to REALLY be uncomfortable and get through that feeling and see that I was fine. Like I'd realize I was staying in a job I hated and that I was too scared to quit, so I'd take my savings and go live in another country for the summer or go backpacking or take a friend and drive across the country or something with as little planning as possible and it would be terrifying but then I'd be okay and when I came back I'd know I was capable of doing things and be able to make those important changes I needed. I'm not really able to do that anymore because I have kids and responsibilities outside of myself, and I can't take those risks like I used too, but when I see her make those moves I'm reminded of that feeling

Great video, beautiful last shot walking into the misty garden! 😍 The livingroom makeover was great, just that rearrangement and the archair did the trick! Hot tip reg indoir plants:look them up, so they last the winter and don't get thrips, spidermites or citrus mealy bugs (especially the spidermites are super contageous and almost impossible to get rid of). The lemon tree wants conditions like a Mediterranean winter ie between + 8 to +15 Celcius (tops!) and lots of light, not too much watering and low PH (there's soil especially for citrus worth using ). I had a huge lemon tree 2 plus meters tall 160 cm wide! Loved the scent of the flowers, pollinated it myself with a brush and it did give lemons, but eventually died when I no longer had a winter garden with the right conditions (my cousin sold his place with that feature) and just had to keep in my kitchen window all through the year. Meal bugs and spidermites got it. The meal bugs i could handle, but the mites infest the soil and plant and are virtually invisible but the plants wither. Just letting you know olives, citrus, rosemary and laurel and other typically Mediterranean shrubs and trees need a cooler winter rest that's frost free and light. And no overfeeding. It's young so no disaster I guess, I was heartbroken when my tree died 😞 You'll figure it out. You made great changes in the video! Opening things up! 🙌 Your little mouse loves you too, you are so cute together 💕

To give privacy to the bathroom while still allowing light to go into the hallway you could stencil a design on the actual glass and then add panels of plexiglass that you lightly frost and then add to the doors on the bathroom side using the glazing pins you use when installing panes of glass. I don't know if you ever go back and watch your older videos, but as a viewer, I can see so much growth in you since I started following a couple years ago (along with catch-up viewing), but without losing your sense of humor, adventure and love. The new house seems to have added to this maturity. May it continue!

I love watching Isabel’s video then yours after, 2 beautiful humans creating awesome lives for themselves! Homestead life is such a nice thing to watch and reminds me living more simply and with nature is a joyful experience xo

There’s this rainbow window film that’s super cheap and easy to install that would give you privacy in the bath and still provide light in the hall that I think would work great on those doors 😊

Wing back chair was a steal at 20 bucks! Like the steamer trunk too! Never told you . Like your retro refrigerator at your other place! I will have all those some day in my cabin! See you next week crazy girl! 🤪

Hannah! I collect two big totes of pine cones to use them as fire starters throughout winter. You just need to collect them while they are open and save them on a dry space and use three or four of them for each fire... Love you!

Be sure to do chimney checks for creosote buildup.
