Awesome video. I’m a big fan of Woodsmith and have those books. Maybe you don’t want to know, but they have a updated version of the stand and a video from last year. It’s very minor differences and yours is yours.

@@CleanPhilWanted Both. It’s on Woodsmith Shop the show and the magazine. Just search Woodsmith miter saw station.

Nice work Phil! You'll probably find that having your fence extensions aligned with the saw's fence is not great for cutting boards with aless than straight edge.

Hi Richard! Yes, I have run into this issue. Not that often but I have ended up using my old table saw outfeed rollers for support at times. You bringing this up made think of upgrading the fences to movable/removable. I don't really like them as they are now anyways. From your experience, what do you go with? Potentially the ''wood whisperer' no fence style?

@@CleanPhilWanted I'm afraid my miter saw set up consists of a miter saw perched atop an old Stanley Workmate, no addn'l fence to speak of. I use adjustable height roller supports for long boards - pathetic I know! I will build a dedicated miter saw station similar to yours one of these days & I'll probably just mount the fences on the wings set back an inch or so from the saw's fence. That way I can still use fence stops for repeated cuts.
