Hey Deez, you'll use those more than the store-bought ones. Cutting two 45s on center is not easy at all you did a great job!

Thanks. I appreciate the positive feedback. This was a fun beginner project that will be very useful. For others getting into this hobby, this is a great addition to the small project list.

hey Deez why are you not wearing safety glasses when on the mill those chips fly everywhere SAFETY FIRST

Always good to remind folks about safety, Myself included. Despite this I have been much better about wearing my safety glasses lately. it is certainly a bad habit not to wear them.

Deez, I know you were dying to use that vise stop but a square would have worked just fine. 😊

:-) There are always multiple ways to approach a task. I just had to use my stop if I could make it work.

@@deezworkshop I was nailed in one of my videos and was told the stop always goes on the fixed jaw not the movable for precision work. This wasn't precision so who cares IMO.

Thanks 👍 you are right that in this case it didn’t matter but I appreciate you pointing it out. I should get in the habit of using the tooling accessories in the proper most accurate ways. Good advice for me and others who may not have realized it.

@@TheMiniMachineShop That makes total sense because the stop is used to so you remove a part from the vise and then reinsert it or another part to the exact same position horizontally. The fixed jaw would always be in the same position but the moveable jaw could be different from releasing and tightening the second or third time, etc.
