$SMCI - Got in a couple days ago @ $790, just stopped out at $860. I had planned to hold for another day or two, expecting this momentum to continue, but I am pleased I stopped out when the market just correct. Almost 9% in two days. I am not sad about it. I can get back in when the opportunity appears. Patience.
@digitalcoup6 ай бұрын
I swung $SMCI over the weekend, but didn't really need to (hindsight). Got in Friday @ $835, sold today @ $910. I say I didn't really need to swing it, because it dipped back down to $835 after the open today, then rallied from there along with the market. I like the idea of swing trading, and I think my day trading setups work for swinging, too, but I am not entirely comfortable with the overnight exposure. Maybe someday, but I am being very conservative with my risk taking.

Question - Are you trading options or leveraged stock borrow - or even CFD's ? Any trader who has an ounce of knowledge can understand basics on margin and exposure. To make that profit on NVIDIA would have required over $5m in margin. $100k profit on a $20 move. Would love to see some live trades - incredible trader.

Sadly i started NVDA this year with papertrading on January the 9th. because the bar on the 8th was big and was a skyscraper against the bars before it. I still let it go to see where it will end. It is over 133% now. I started the real thing a while later and it is at 50% profit now.

Greetings, Swing trading is more loved because it has a higher likelihood of success. (ex there was an ad for a couple at an auction who after getting something (won bid) tried to sell it at the same auction , same day, same limited set of buyers. As least with Swing trading there is a new day, new set of buyers and the price had a chance to make news...

Hello, can you please help me? I have a problem. I am learning analysis on tradingview Trading. I want to go to a specific wave, say 3 years on the clock frame. I can’t. The chart finishes and the program asks that 5000 candles have expired. Should I buy a copy for the return design? For your information, I calculated how many candles I want to reach the wave at 93,000. A thousand candles, and the program gives you 10,000 or 20,000. How can you go back to the duration of the time period on a small frame, for example, 3 years ago? Thank you and sorry for the big comment.

@HumbledTraderOfficial The 101st point is that your audience doesn't have 4 million to put in one trade. 2% of $30k would have been $600. And if the trade took 4 days, it isn't even enough to live on for people with bills.

Arguably (not by me) the best educator (and a comedian) on trading on KZbin 😊 Shay, how do you manage risk in swing when you can’t put stop loss in after hours or pre market? Do you then monitor those time periods as well?
@HumbledTraderOfficial7 ай бұрын
only the first few days im nervous. because of potential gap downs. i put limit stop loss. but after the stock takes off, and it moves further away from my avg. i manage the risk by: 1. Taking 1/10 chunks of profit on breakouts. So no matter what even if i stop out breakeven the position is green. 2. Let it ride on 15min or daily timeframes. I don't look at anything shorter than 5 min 3. Stop limit orders with GTC

Hey, could you please ellaborate on what trade structure you used to achieve this profit? Maybe I just misunderstood something, but if you had $22 profit per share with a $1028 entry and a $1050 exit, you would have needed 5000 shares for a $110k profit, which was more than $5,000,000 at the time.
@HumbledTraderOfficial7 ай бұрын
no you did the math wrong... I did not exit at 1050 (thats the day trade). The swing trade exists were around $1150. also, the point is to use the same process for your own account size... whether its 5000 or 10000 doesn't matter. you can still take proper share size for NVDA.

Maybe better use an ATR based stop loss. NVIDIA often has a daily ATR of more than 3% . A 4% stop loss would be more appropriate for swing trades. I use 1/3 daily ATR for scalp trading NVIDIA and routinely get stopped out. Stop loss needs to be stock specific is my point and ergo share size.

@HumbledTraderOfficial7 ай бұрын
not true. why look for "difficult trades" when it yields more profits just waiting for the "easier trades". and also... NVDA does not "go up all the time"... it does until it doesnt. Also your final question doesn't make sense. "stocks that are bullish all the time" does not exist... I think what adds more value to traders is sharing the process... not handouts
