What's not to love about a project video that already starts with Smudo being an awesome dog? Hope the young lady will have a ton of fun with her new desk. Maybe you'll even get a nice drawing from her to always remind you of this project when you see it on your workshop wall.

I LOVE waking up on Sunday morning and finding a Laura Kampf Adventure waiting in my inbox! Aside from this being another OUTSTANDING project (that little girl will treasure this table, growing with it into adulthood) the video production, music, & storytelling is TOP of the list! A+++ . Hey, everyone, how about being a Laura Kampf Patreon so she can keep this show growing!!!!

I've had the chance to use this table a couple of times now. It's fun to whip out in front of people:) I can see what people are talking about when they say the legs are delicate, but they're design to support a "mostly" vertical load, not be torqued from the side or pushed back into place. If you just let the table open or close on it's own and don't force anything, it works great kzbin.infoUgkxyFZUPFEey-PuqsPMxqaykBhgA1LWxFHh Once it's set up, it's pretty solid. My only gripe would probably be related to the clamps provided. They're not the highest quality. They do the job, so no big deal, but they could be better. All in all, pretty cool gadget.

Fantastic idea. Lovely, subtle use of colour. And its nice to see that [even with a much pricier jigsaw than mine] its not just me that gets bevelled cuts. Great project and a mesmerising video as usual.

I like your videos, I just hope all the people see that your old builds with tools obtainable by mortals were just as good or maybe even better. It was atleast very inspiring for me to see what projects could be talked without the need for expensive gear.
@laurakampf5 жыл бұрын
If you watch my old videos you will see me use a Festool saw just the same. Blaming tools for not getting the job done right is just as wrong as giving them credit for a job gone right. You can build a shitty project with an expensive tool just as well as a great project without a cheap tool. It’s about the skills of a maker. But if I have a choice-I’d rather work with nice tool.

Really good idea, nice realization! And I thought: how strange, a table with three different leg lengths ... but just make the desired length and you're done ..... my daughter is now 30 years old and certain things are forgotten. at the end of the video the girl made me understand that I am getting old and what the oval hole on the top was for. When it was my daughter's moment the low table I did it too, but not with the "adjustable" feet only the short ones!
