So glad you made this episode! I’ve been thinking about doing this myself, but I’ve got that initial healthy bit of fear around messing it all up. And actually, out of all the tech isn’t his video, my first investment might end up being the ultrasonic bath. Where’d you get that bad boy?

Ultrasonic Jewelry Cleaner Life Basis Ultrasonic Cleaner Machine Portable 600ML Touch Control, with Watch Holder for Jewelry, Eyeglasses, Retainer, Watches, Dentures, Rings, Coins, 100-120V 35W a.co/d/0sGxNKN Right here my buddy!! Definitely the single best thing for our razors!!

Depending on the razor, you could get it fairly shiny by just doing a hand polish with Silvo or Flitz, only investment would be a rag, the actual product, and the time it takes you to do it, usually 45 minutes to an hour.

Awesome tutorial on how to polish a razor. It turned out awesome. Have a great day buddy. If you're going to be doing more it would be great to get a Dremel mount so you have both hands free.

AYYYYEE Dremel mount man now we taking!!! I just worry after 20 or so razors that I may be... Used to this method 🤣🤣

Nice job! Polishing can be a lot of work and a lot of the time you end up going back to fix scratches you might have missed. There's a bunch of ways to address scratches and you did great. I swear by Flitz and I always use it to finish off whatever I'm polishing and if you work with brass, copper, bronze, and nickel, there's an anti-tarnish that's in the residue after wiping down, that keeps things looking good for a long time. I'm stealing that baggy idea for the ultrasonic.
@SubieShaves2 жыл бұрын
Do it!!! Definitely the best way to use a ultra sonic - especially if you have abrasive stuff!!! But yeah agreed. It's like a "how perfect do you want it" with high diminishing returners. I have learned get it to 99% and bail. Perfect can be the enemy 🤣🤣

Dude that’s an epic job you’ve done right there….🤩👏👏👏👏 A tip from when I polished mine…on each pass with the compound, work in a direction 90 degrees to your last pass, repeating that each time. That way you get rid of all the lines and ‘grain’ within the metal itself…..leaves it super smooth too. Takes a little longer but the end result is definitely worth it. Gotta get your shave on now buddy, get the piece of bling soapy 🧼 🤘

Oh you know we gotta get it shaving ASAP!!! I'm super impressed with this finish, and I actually think it may be the cleanest polish I have done to date! I'm definitely no "expert" in mirroring, but this is a fun way to get more from your gear. Excellent tip!! I also didn't want to work my way through 8k like you hahahaha it was 🥵🥵🥵🥵 without AC!! But we made it happen! Camera gear WENT INTO THR FRIDGE 🤣🤣 Thanks for joining me my guy!!

Great tutorial with your normal enthusiasm. The finish is really nice compared with the original, however, I doubt I could do that sort of polishing with my old hands without causing some damage.👏😎👍
